Nuzlocke is done for..I lost

I still have some Pokemon in my PC of course, but I don't feel like continuing, it's too much time consuming and grinding is boring

Graveyard (by death order)

Salandit (20) - Died to a wild Diglett in Diglett cave, I wanted to train it up for Mallow trial...wasn't really a smart decision to let it fight Diglett

Brionne (28) - a Ace trainer Fearow in Route 8 - that battle sucked, Fearow hit first (don't remember what move, I think Pluck?) then I used Brionne Icy Wind and it hit Fearow, lowered it's speed.
Thinking I will be faster now (after all, I am 6 levels higher and Fearow has -1 in speed) I used Icy Wind again..which should have killed Fearow, but Fearow still had the speed advantage and killed me with Supersonic Skystrike
That was a nuzlocke killer for me, because Brionne was supposed to be my main against Olivia

Tentacool (19) - a suicide mon in Mallow trial, was surprised by how tough Sudowoodo was and I needed to heal

And finally -
All of those died in Olivia fight-

Steenee (26) - wanted something to replace Brionne, grinding it was too boring and it couldn't beat anything so I just said fuck it maybe 26 is good enough

Charjabug (31)
Eevee (1) - wanted it to gather happiness and turn into Espeon..
Crobat (32) - :(
Machop (14) - Wanted to train him as a backup for Steenee, but was bored
Mudbray (11) - See Machop

Lots of breeding in SM in hope for 5IV Modest Female Popplio egg to US/UM.

It's in-game. If you can't be bother to wake up early you'll have to wait until the end of the game and go through the wormhole at the Altar of the Moone so you can reach the Altar of the Sunne

I made that post in an old topic from last year in a topic dedicated to the initial Switch reveal. The quoted posts do a really good job at convincing people to buy a Switch.

As for Pokemon on the Switch, that game won't be coming out until 2019 or 2020, so there's no pressing need for you to buy a Switch right away. By the time Pokemon arrives on the Switch, the Switch itself might have already gotten a price drop by then (in addition to a much stronger game library).

I've got the game. As usual I'll be using different Pokemon

I've learned that Alolan Meowth does not learn special moves until very late despite having a higher special attack and my Meowth being Timid does not help things. Luckily the TM for echo voice is found early

Have to agree with nanis here. I don't think I've ever chosen to nickname a Pokmon (and the fact that you can't change the nicknames of traded pokemon is super dumb).

I've never done a nuzlocke, though.

Basically, it's a carbon copy, but the difference is totem pokemon instead of zygarde, and a lot more pointless dialogue than the game prior.

The game is far more restrictively linear than the prior games, and rotom is considerably more annoying, blocking the minimap for pointless questions that you can only answer positively.

Things that reached a universal consensus of "meh" like pokefinder are back in full force.

And there are pokemon that bounce and follow you, but they are not YOUR pokemon, they're just there to show you "Hey, we could have had pokemon following you in this game, and this is what it would look like if we were willing to put the effort in"

I mean I'm willing to accept arguments on why this game is better in any way (besides the better pokemon selection)

The pokemon selection is much better, but any lazy romhacker could have done that in 20 minutes so I'm not really willing to give game freak much credit for that.

Yeah it was clear that we were getting a third (and fourth) version. I actually debated on whether I would buy the game and only went for it because of the small handful of new Pokemon.

to be fair, I thought sun and moon were fine, but to make virtually no improvements between the two (besides SOS battles) kinda just feels like a slap in the face from game freak.

I mean, I know EVERY pokemon game is a slap in the face from game freak, but this one feels worse.

I agree that the lack of differences is disappointing but to say USUM are worse than SM is just a lie

The games are exactly just as linear
Disagree with useless text - the new events, the new stuff to interact with are great. The Ultra Reckon Squad text is fine

It's not a step backward, it's just disappointing as a third version, but still the better version

The only step back I agree on is Rotom - he is much much more annoying now
The text in buttom screen is hard to ignore and even if you try to, it just blocks the minimap until you answer the question

I always nickname my pokemon, makes me feel more connected to them.

Not sure if I'll be getting this game yet, the handholding and extensive cutscenes really ruined a lot of the experience for me. I just can't bring myself to care about a story in Pokemon games.

I preferred back when I could just slap the game in and start playing.
