ALttP randomizer made it again after it's HRDQ debut. Still the only randomizer to make it in (not counting stuff like CotN of course), but this one seems to be gaining a lot of steam. (And funny enough the GDQ Twitch channel is showing an ALttP Randomizer tournament as I type this.)

I think Super Dram World 2 was the only (non-randomizer) romhack to make it afaik. Of course I could have missed a non-Mario one.

Zelda 1 Randomizers are so much more interesting to me than LttP ones =/

I really enjoy the randomized dungeons and completely different dungeon layouts of the Z1 Randoms. Just having items be in different spots for LttP is like... okay, it's just different routing... woo so exciting =/

Yay Christos made it to AGDQ!

They do have other modes than the one on the GDQ channel. There is also Entrance Randomizer and Key-Sanity randomizer. (and Triforce piece hunt)

I think the deciding factor is that ALttP is simply the more popular game as it is. It will probably pave the way for a Zelda 1 randomizer eventually.

Not that I mind. I've actually been enjoying ALttP randomizers itself lately.

Yeah, LttP randomizer really blew up, it has the largest community by far now and it's got the biggest names speedrunning it. I think that if this goes well it will pave the way for other randomizers in the future (I haven't given up on Pokemon Randomizer - I just really need to work on building my brand over the coming months), the z1r community is pretty big and has some trusted names in it as well so we should be able to break through soon. z2r probably as well.

Not just a race. Super Metroid anything. I completely missed that earlier. Apparently they don't exactly have the best people submitting for it these day.

Guess I need to try to figure out what the big incentive donation is. There's probably another save/kill animals in some game in there.
