He goes from acting like he's five years younger than he looks, and then he has mature conversations and is cracking jokes with Oliver, acting his age! If we keep having new, cliche and contrived fatherhood lessons every week, this is going to be unbearable.

And spoilers for the ending Holy shit Diggle, what? Why? You know you are fucking incapable of being on the field right now for what is probably the dumbest and poorly done injury ever, but you still want to be Green Arrow!? What!? Why? Why doesn't New Canary just go "Yo, Oliver. He's hurt. I don't know why he accepted this because he's gonna mess up." But then he seems like he's doing fine in the trailers? I don't get it. I just don't.

Also, running a company with Felicity, who previously ran the company you were employed in to the ground!? Why would you trust her to run a company Curtis!? You know she is incapable of this!

And there's nothing to do with the new villain yet? You can't even hint at anything yet? Instead you want a standalone "Green Arrow is outed" storyline that isn't very good and seems resolved already? Uggggggh.

They don't need much though. Just like a little teaser like him talking about how Oliver managed to clear his name of being Green Arrow again, and how they predicted it, and that it was only the start, or something like that. Nothing meaningful. Just a tiny little scene to say "Oh, big bad guy who is it?"

This seasons villain is obviously Malcolm Merlyn, upset that Thea nearly got killed after he faked his death.

...Oliver will curbstomp him after 22 episodes after Merlyn manages to keep up with Oliver throughout the season thanks to training with Oliver's 5th grade Karate teacher for 2 and a half weeks.

She's contracted 14 episodes like she was last year because she does other projects (Kingdom Hearts, movies, etc.). So this time I think they decided "Hey, let's just have her do the last episodes of the season instead of writing her out constantly."

It's pretty stupid that William was beat up because his dad is literally a super hero. Most 8th graders would probably be like "AWESOME! YOUR DAD IS SO COOL! CAN I HAVE HIS AUTOGRAPH" instead of "Your dad is the green arrow? Time to beat you up!" I mean at the very least they'd call him a liar, but it's not like he's the one who made the claim anyway.

Also, I doubt the teachers just let kids beat up the mayor's kid without finding out who did it, and punishing them.

Why hasn't Oliver set up a plan for William in case something does happen to him? I mean even if he isn't doing Green Arrow stuff, there's still always the possibility he won't be able to come home to his kid. I mean he could get into a car accident. He could get stranded on Lian Yu again. Anything could happen. In fact at the end there I half expected Oliver to ask John if he'd take care of his son if anything happened to him. That would have made more sense.

The fact that Oliver's solution is "I'm going to stop being a hero to save my son" is outrageous considering Black Siren is still around and hates him, she's clearly working with people who will know who she is, there's some unknown person who leaked the fact that Oliver is the Green Arrow, among other things.

Like, these people won't give a shit. They're going to still fuck with Oliver and try to kill him and probably go after his son. Did Oliver think about this for even one second?

Also, he's literally the mayor. How many times in super hero world are children of important figures kidnapped and stuff for ransom? Absolutely ridiculous.

It's possible, though I could see Oliver wanting someone else to do it. Especially since he doesn't know her parents. It's up to him now. They don't really seem to be in his life much right now (maybe they have been in the past 6 months, IDK) Wouldn't be a bad idea to have John as a backup plan in any case.

You didn't think Chase and most of the stuff surrounding him was good? Prometheus was a good villain, and we got some good episodes out of it. But there was a ton of bad stuff that season like Artemis being used poorly, a lot of the pacing with the flashbacks, Felicity's storyline in the second half, the usage of Talia, Curtis' writing, among other things. But overall, it was the best season of Arrow since Season 2, easy. It's just that, man, it feels like such a fluke of a season when you just listen and watch an episode of Arrow like this.

The only things I thought were outright bad about this week's episode was the stuff with Diggle and the ending. William was an improvement, and I actually liked the scenes with Felicity/Curtis bantering. I was disappointed that they didn't just go full steam ahead with Ollie being outed, but oh well.

I didn't like Prometheus as a villain at all. It made no sense that he was as skilled as Oliver just because he trained with Talia. (Especially seeing as Talia got her ass kicked by Nyssa) He was somehow always two steps ahead of Team Arrow--which made him borderline omniscient.

I found Chase to be a boring villain with no real connection to Oliver (despite them trying to force one).

Well, yeah. It made no sense how he was so outrageously skilled (I still think, despite what they say, Talia was intended to be Prometheus), but even if it was sketchy how he could always be ahead, they managed to do a lot of good with it. He was entertaining and well-performed. But I think his connection was good enough with Oliver in that he just wanted to pay him back for his senseless murders and such.

This is honestly just the kind of thing you have to ignore. Like how the time bureau lady was able to fight evenly with Sara's League of Assassins training. Or... how every League of Assassins member turned into a mook.

Or since you're a Supernatural fan, how angels and demons have been significantly downgraded over the years.

Yeah, I definitely agree with that. The League of Assassins was really strange considering they went from unkillable assassins to any person with training can take on at least five of them at a time.

They always let people fight fast. Look at Laurel's 2 boxing lessons and fighting League of Assassins members lmao

See, I'm not as bothered by the League because they've obviously lost a step since Ra's is gone. Plus they're not the main villains now.

And with Chase it's bad because it was a big part of his backstory. "You trained with Talia for 3 days once, and even though you've also had training from Slade Wilson, Katana, Ra's Ah Ghul himself, and even Malcolm Merlyn and oh yeah Barry Allen... I KNOW ALL YOUR MOVES!" It'd be like if Oliver trained with Malcolm, and then kept up with Ra's instead of having his ass kicked promptly like he did. It's not like Oliver hasn't learned a lot since his days with Talia. I mean back in season 1 he could barely keep up with merlyn, and then he curbstomped him after he became Ra's.

It probably would have helped if he didn't seem to have the script in front of him at all times in regards to what Oliver was going to do next. He was basically Savitar without the excuse for knowing all that he did.

Though yeah, I did think it was dumb that random Time Beuareau Chick could keep up with Sara Lance. It would have made more sense if she actually brought backup, and Sarah had to fight one on three, but I guess they couldn't afford two more extras because they have to save their money for Firestorm and any other special effects they want to do.

Well, that was an episode. Cisco and Wells were great as usual, but this Flash episode was pretty wacky and goodbye Wally :/. So "glad" they did his character justice and didn't make him a total waste :(

Flash was a lot of fun. But man, I was one of those people who never really minded Iris most of the time, but now she's just been really annoying to me these past few episodes. I think it's because she just continuously derails the show with this awful marriage plot.

Who the hell plans a marriage in six weeks without a venue?

Her trying to get married immediately after a funeral and turning over the dead guy's picture was probably the worst thing Iris has ever done. That's just so wrong. I gotta wonder what the point of introducing Jesse and Wally as speedsters was since they ultimately did nothing with either of them :(

I can see their intent was just to be funny this episode, but they made her act out of character to accomplish it, and while I thought it was funny I can definitely see why people wouldn't like the funeral/wedding bit.

I liked the episode, but I also thought they spent too much time focusing on the things Hazard was causing and not enough time on Hazard herself. Also what the fuck kind of slot machine takes 5 minutes to finish a single spin

I also laughed at "This house is..." "...bitchin'?"
