I regulary work out now.

I am a bit confused, but I gained 3 pounds(198lbs) and I seem to have less belly fat.

I really want to lose that belly fat. I miss having a 6 pack.

Trying to change my diet. Not sure what to eat though.

At least 15 lbs, imo.

You've got good potential. Just do it slow and steady and you'll be amazed what happens if you stick with it.

What's your height, btw?

You don't need to lose weight so as much as bulking up your pecs.

need to drop down to around 165-170lbs see some abs for your height. I'm 5'10, weighed in at 190lb at the beginning of the year. Dropped down to 160lb now and also gained a lot more muscle mass. I look a lot more ripped and never thought it would possible to see an actual cut up 6 pack.

Whatever "regular" workout you're doing now, stop it and look into some well respected lifting programs like 5/3/1 + BBB, 5x5, etc.. Also a big part of dieting is simply cutting a lot of calories you're intaking. Obviously eat healthier by cutting out junk food, sweets, soda, snacks and eating more whole foods, fruit, veggies, lean meats, lots or protien. But most people, in general, consume wayyyyyy more than they need too, especially if they aren't bodybuilders. The average non lifter would be at a healthy height-weight ratio if they ate at around a 2,000 calorie diet per day. Losing weight is simply just math, intake fewer calories than you're burning consistently.

Well.... I am not sure dropping to 170lbs would look good, we used to see my abs at 180 lbs.

Take notes that my legs are pretty big.

It's not about the weight. You can cut fat and add muscle and still be the same weight and you'd be good.

I wouldn't focus on losing weight. Lift weights and you will lose fat and build muscle. You may drop pounds or be the same but you'll look and feel better.

If you really want to just lose weight I'd set the goal at like 5-10 pounds. ~185-190 is a good weight at your height.

I guess 185 should be my first goal. Or maybe I should set "realistic" goals.

I wonder how much time it would take to lose 10 lbs.

I tend to eat before going to sleep. I guess I should stop doing that.

I am trying to cut on the junk food too.

I don't know, if you have a solution to make it go away. I am in. I do not even know why it's there in the first place.

oh...and it used to be worse. I really really want to make it go away seriously. I tried some acne treatments, but it did not work for the chest.

Any goal you set should follow the SMART criteria, imo :p

Reasonable, non-crash dieting nets about -1 lb a week, with most people losing about 5 lbs their first week as they tend to cut out carbs/sodium which means less retained water. So you're looking at ~3 months for the first milestone.

Meal timing means almost nothing, btw. Find a feeding schedule that works well for you and run with it. A lot of the nutrition science that says "eating before you sleep is bad" is doing so without accounting for caloric intake. Of course people who eat an extra meal a day are going to be heavier than those that don't.

I guess it's because the rest of your body matches up.

I look like a POW.

Skinny arms, legs and chest.

But with a bubble gut.

Guess it's from all the beer I drink.
