Edit: Thank god I'm at rank 15, so the 0-9 streak I'm on over the last day and a half only lost me three stars. I tilted myself into fucking up two straight Defiles just now.

This deck is really, really fun. The main thing is Brawl not missing. That's usually when I lose.

Three priests in a row have beaten me not by skill, but by randomly generating Dead Man's Hand from my deck and not having any of their key cards milled. I usually hit at least 5 cards from them, and I never hit Raza, Kazakus, Anduin, Velen, or Medivh. The stats on this are basically impossible, but it keeps happenjng. Under no circumstances was I not the better player in any of those losses, but because Hearthstone is not a skill based video game, it allows the worse player of the two to win by randomness instead of rewarding the better player. Games like this all inevitably fail, and they should. Multiple pros have quit over this trash, and more will follow. Your reward for getting good at Hearthstone is not a higher win rate; it's losing to bad players by random charity.

This is called "Mario Kart syndrome", named after a pure failure of a series where the worst players are the only ones to gdt good items, and I can safely conclude anyone calling this design a skill-based philosophy will not be successful in life. There is NO standard where anyone can call randomized charity wins a product of skill, both in video games or the real world. Hard work and ethic are the main drivers of success, not coin flipping.

it's weird that skill is completely irrelevant to hearthstone but the same person who won the world championship this year also won the winter seasonal tournament and also just won the summer seasonal tournament with 10-0 score

granted there needs to be SOMEONE lucky enough to win each tournament, but if the game was purely luck based it seems like a different person should be winning each tournament........ I wonder what the odds are for the same pro player with an incredibly high win rate to be gifted multiple huge tournament victories by sheer randomness........

Day three of playing ranked after the patch, only went 1-4 today. So I'm an amazing 2-15 on ladder since the new patch. Finished with a win, though, so I've only lost two total stars in all. I'm in a funk.

Jade Druid - 10 (Or 9? One was as a Hunter that perfect curved into one of my two wins before he played anything that really gave it away.)

so the only deck I find remotely interesting right now is the fatigue/mill control warlock

unfortunately I did NOT get bloodreaver gul'dan as my free hero card

thankfully I have a bunch of trash wild legendaries I can disenchant so I think I'll go ahead and bite the bullet. if I can't play arena I want to at least play constructed enough to get the card back each month. I haven't missed one since I started playing.

I think I use Smores but I used C'Thun for a little while. The Void Cardback from Prime's pretty cool too

I'm at rank 4 now and have a 66% win rate overall in the last two months. Thinking about pushing for legend but each of my games takes like 20 minutes.

slamming down bloodreaver gul'dan and summoning a board full of demons is perhaps the most satisfying feeling I've ever had while playing heartstone. also that Howlfield + Defile combo. this was definitely worth all of the cards I threw away to craft this deck.

Warrior mill is pretty hilarious.

I'm at 499 wins. Bets on how long it takes me to get one more?

mill warrior actually looks cool too. it's the only other one I'm interested in. anyway my first few games have been pretty janky but I'm definitely learning. this fatigue warlock is one that my winrate will absolutely improve over time as my mastery grows.

I cast Brawl three times in one game and lost all three.

First one there were 8 minions out. Alakir was the only threat, and he lives.

Second one, 8 minions out again. The only threat was Kalimos, and he lives.

Third one, 6 minions out. Blazecaller was the only threat, and it lived. I easily gain enough armor to win if I don't get screwed on even ONE of those Brawls.

Do not ever try telling me this game is based on skill or that the rng is about minimizing bad luck. You are wrong. This is pure RNG trash tier video game design. The math for me losing that game was literally impossible, and it happens in every. Single. Game. Even the games I win I end up planning to get dicked over by Brawl leaving out the worst minion possible.

This is not a skill game and never will be. It blows my doors off that so-called smart people on this board think otherwise. Losing three Brawls in one game has nothing whatsoever to do with skill level, and it says a lot when I play you guys for 80g quests, you physically see Brawl doing this shit, and you still think I'm making it up. No one would make this garbage up.

No such thing when rng always exists to enforce Mario Kart Syndrome and ensure the better player loses.

We had a good meta where the top decks were rngtrash, and the community whined about it. You people do not deserve good video games. Druidstone was PERFECT.

Tempo Rogue is pretty good and there's a lot of ways to build it. Aggressively or Value Based or just Elemental

The decks feel a little highrolly as a coin Prince Shadowstep Prince start is stronger than whatever Big Priest puts out but the core is also way more consistent than that deck

I would much rather lose to someone else's deck than my own deck. At least when someone beats me they actually did something. All of my losses for the past week have been purely due to RNG trash within the game's design. There is no skill in play when cards like Brawl or Yogg decide to misfire. This is why pros in every other game have higher win rates than in Hearthstone. Good players aren't crippled by charity RNG garbage.

Ulti, I mean this in the nicest possible way, but we're sick of hearing you rant about the RNG mechanics. It's nothing new. You probably were aware going in. You've had your chances to complain. We don't need a new diatribe every 3 hours. I took you off ignore to give you a fresh chance, and you were okay for a little while, but you're just as bad as before, if not worse. And you're not actually saying anything we don't already know. Except you draw a different conclusion than the rest of us, and refuse to accept that either you are wrong, or you're doing something wrong. I don't know which, and I honestly don't care, but nobody is getting consistently bodied by the random number generator in every single game. If it were really that big a thing, I would probably switch decks to something that didn't include cards that specifically say "random" on them, like Brawl or Sulfuras. At least then, as you say, you'd be losing to your opponents' decks and not your own...barring really poor draws.

oh jeez second match against Jade Druid

this time DK Gul'Dan was at the bottom of my deck. talk about poor draw RNG.

also won again though, and pretty handily this time. I guess this deck just has a really great match up against Jade Druid. I actually milled him out before even getting to the bottom, but I knew DK was my last card because I only had one card left when I killed him (by playing Coldlight Oracle!)

So I was playing a greedy Wild Deathrattle Hunter against a Handlock. I had him down to 12 and had just Play Dead on Sylvanas'd his 4/7 Twilight Drake away from him.

He had to Twisting Nether, which I responded to by playing Sneed's on an empty board. He played Mal'Ganis. I had no direct damage in my hand, so I used my other Play Dead on Sneed's and got a Ragnaros, so I just let Rag decide. He hit Mal'Ganis.

He was forced to play Death Knight Gul'dan, only bringing back Mal'Ganis and a Despicable Dreadlord, but he's up to 17 life. I topdeck Quick Shot. I have to kill Mal'Ganis, so I run Sneed's in. Out pops King Crush. Rag hits face for one over lethal.
