Spoiler With No Warning: We'd like to start having expiration dates on spoilers. We'd need to work out appropriate timeframes for these. There would also have to be different windows for different media, like live events vs movies vs games vs etc. Spoilers would still never be allowed in topic titles regardless. We could look into allowing flairs for spoilers to allow for discussions without having to put spoiler tags in every post. We also already now require users to leave notes when reporting posts for this reason, and we're going to do our best to start differentiating between minor and major spoilers.

Add Leaders to most popular boards. The idea here is that a lot of larger boards feel like we don't really pay special attention to them when we should. What we would do here is somehow allow for these communities to nominate one or more Leaders (who would of course be vetted by us as well before being accepted). These Leaders would not be moderators themselves but they would be liaisons for that board with quick access to the ears of myself and the rest of the team (think a Leader board or something) to bring concerns or whatever else from their community directly to us and vice versa. We could also look into possibly giving them some basic tools as well, like the ability to make a sticky topic on their board.

I don't know that this new conversation solves the types of problems this board has suffered from the past twelve years. There are looooong-standing trolls with unhealthy habits of attacking people under alts or creating new accounts, which then also bypasses the Ignore feature too. What's going to be done about that?

Those are part of the flavor of the board. They're a feature, not a bug. It's silly to feel "attacked" by crazy people all the way across the internet, and it's not like serious conversation is impossible.

Moderation is a problem in that it's never done except to the known trolls (or "trolls" with some people)

I've marked several spoilers without warning and it's never actually resulted in a moderation. Mod system is basically just to dick over people the mods don't like at this point.
