You're not wrong. It is good, however you cannot assume that some arbitrary amount of good things he's contributed is greater than value to the bad things that he has contributed.

Similar deal with Trump. His million dollars donation is meaningless in the face of his rampant climate denial that contributed to this kind of shit in the first place. Trump pockets millions from having the taxpayers foot the Secret Services tab in his resorts, and we're supposed to think a million is this incredibly generous gesture? It's a joke.

Ok. I just wanted to be sure you weren't expecting us to suddenly love or forgive him because he did this decent thing. I'm glad he's helping hurricane victims, but that doesn't mean the problems of his presidency suddenly goes away.


Sure. He does some things I like, and he also does quite a bit that I don't like. But, the general radical left trend is to attack him for literally anything. He could give them a bag of gold and they'd attack him because its heavy.

A million dollars is a lot of money that can provide a lot of help. But he's supposed to be the leader of the federal government. A million dollar donation can't compensate for a lack of leadership and a willingness to kick down the road the infrastructural problems that lead to floods like this being so destructive. Moves like that are designed to get us to like him without his having to think about the problem in any serious way.
