I am an independent journalist. I was just contacted and the sheetz fight clip is being sold to a broadcaster to be used for a show on Spike TV which is in early production. I should get somewhere between 50-500 dollars for that license and you get paid each time someone licenses its use.

The prosecution requested, and was granted, a continuance because the lying (and main witness) Detective testifying just so happened to pre-arrange all of his vacations until after Thanksgiving to be on not one, but both of my court dates.

There is no law in Maryland against recording conversations. There is a law against intercepting communications when both parties of the conversation don't consent to the interception. The problem is when you willfully speak with someone then you are consenting to their interception because you are directing your communication to them with an understanding and expectation that they will acquire it. Nothing spooky there. Telephones used as telephones with facilities attached, furnished by the subscriber, during the ordinary course of its business are also excluded under the strictures of the statute as being an "Electronic, Mechanical or Other Device" and the definition of "Intercept" listed here - http://mgaleg.maryland.gov/webmga/frmStatutesText.aspx?article=gcj§ion=10-401&ext=html&session=2017RS&tab=subject5

"(10) %u201CIntercept%u201D means the aural or other acquisition of the contents of any wire, electronic, or oral communication through the use of any electronic, mechanical, or other device."

The Act specifically excludes “telephone” from the definition of an “electronic, mechanical or other device.” Therefore, by using his cell phone to record the incidents, my client was within his rights, the evidence was admitted and he got the divorce he wanted, on the terms he wanted without having to pay any alimony, divide his pension, or pay her attorney’s fees.

That court order was for a case pertaining to disorderly conduct and failure to obey. It had nothing at all to do with recording and the judge greatly overstepped his boundaries when he ruled in such a manner to create such an order. My appeal is a de novo appeal. I cannot be found guilty for the destruction of property but otherwise it's like a whole new trial, new attorney, new arguments, and all.

I would still like to read TC's explanation for why they refused to answer the reporter's question re: him recording them. If TC feels so strongly that they are in the right, then why not simply acknowledge that he is recording them? Refusing to the answer the question could reasonable be taken as him knowing that he is in the wrong.
