Sorry for the lame pun, but I needed to make a topic.

Dolph Ziggler is apparently getting repackaged.

That is all.

Does anyone else feel like Smackdown should be longer?

I know, I know. Fuck long shows. I totally understand. But every week on Smackdown, they just have something disappearing. Like what happened to Aiden English this week? What happened to Mike & Maria vs Sami Zayn? Where was Nakamura? Where was Gable? Where was Becky? Sometimes Fashion Police is missing. Sometimes Lana/Tamina is missing. For the longest time even Tye Dillinger was missing. Where have the Hype Bros been after Zack Ryder came back? Where are Harper and Rowan? Dolph Ziggler is missing too.

No, and I'm glad every person doesn't show up every week. That's part of why Smackdown is better. It makes the shows not feel like the same thing every week.

Imagine if in every episode of Breaking Bad they shoehorned every single character in the show into a at least one segment every week. I mean obviously there are your main eventers Walter White, Jesse Pinkman, etc etc who you expect to see every week, but as much as I love Huell or even Saul tossing them into the episode every time wouldn't really make sense or make the show better.

Yep, sure is. Confirmed SummerSlam card right now...

Brock (c) vs. Reigns vs. Joe vs. BRAUN for the Universal title; if Brock loses, he and Heyman claim they'll leave the WWE
Jinder (c) vs. Nakamura for the WWE title
Cena vs. Corbin
Styles (c) vs. Owens for the US title; guest referee is Shane McMahon
Neville (c) vs. Tozawa for the Cruiserweight title
New Day (c) vs. Usos for the SmackDown tag titles
Naomi (c) vs. Natalya for the SD Women's title
Alexa vs. Sasha or Nia Jax for the Raw Women's title (Sasha and Nia are facing off on the upcoming Raw to determine the #1 contender; could even be both somehow for all we know)
Randy Orton vs. Rusev
Finn Balor vs. Bray Wyatt
Big Show vs. Big Cass; Enzo Amore's suspended in a shark cage above the ring for the match

That's 11 matches confirmed with a week's worth of shows left. Raw's hinted at both Rollins/Ambrose vs. Sheamus/Cesaro, as well as Miz vs. Jason Jordan, but with the card as big as it already is, they might save those for No Mercy next month instead, which is going to be Raw exclusive this year.

Then again, SummerSlam's gonna be as long as WrestleMania, which had 13 matches, so there's definitely room for two more! >_>

Okay scouring my brain I can actually get up to 6.
4 Way vs Brock
Nakamura/Jinder
AJ/Owens w/ Shane as Ref
Natalya vs Naomi
Alexa vs TBD on Raw IIRC (previously Bayley)
Orton vs Rusev

Then I have a few that I'm just guessing on based on feuds
Usos vs New Day
Big Cass vs Big Show
Ambrose/Rollins vs Sheamus/Cesaro

So it's not quite as bleak as initially thought

Ambrose/Rollins vs Sheamus/Cesaro is unofficially official

The other match was supposed to be Hardys vs Revival but with the injury it's up in the air.

LOL if they re-sign the Hardys and cool them off so successfully in a mere 4 months that they don't even make Summerslam

So I went to a local show last weekend. GNW. Great North Wrestling.

It was beyond a shadow of a doubt the absolute worst train wreck of a show I have ever seen.

It was like watching Botchamania if someone botched it.

First off the sound system was awful so I had no idea who 95% of the people were or why they hated each other.

First two matches were whatever and fine.

Third match was the first appearance of Aces & Eights: Quebec..... it was a tag team tables match.

But they didn't have wooden tables oh no... they were plastic. They get to the end of the match and the one guy is laying on the table and this big guy goes up top and does a splash. Table just bounces him back and the guy absorbs the whole impact. So ... do it again. This time a senton. Doesn't break again. Guy on the table keels over and is coughing and gasping and the ref and his partner rush over. His partner starts crying, so that's a good sign. The ref waves off the match saying "the table won't break" and they drag the other guys limp body out.

Next up is Hannibal vs Wes Brisco and 300 Aces and Eights guys.

Hannibal fights off all of them while no DQ occurs somehow. He pins Brisco and wins the belt. Decent match, but post match Hannibal turns on the old fat manager type of A&8. He tries to powerbomb him through a table (yes another plastic one). He can't quite get him up so he spikes him through the table which explodes oddly. The guy just goes limp. Lays there for ages. I assume to sell. But then after like 5 minutes the crew there notices he isn't moving. So what do they do, well we have no stretcher here so ... carry him out on a table. It took about 15 minutes. The intermission happened here by accident I think.

Up next Psycho Sid vs Some guy who is Pro Trump. Sid can barely move now. He is gassed from walking to the ring. Barely able to power bomb the guy who was probably 175 pounds.

After that is Pierre Carl Ouellette vs Some Huge Generic Dude. They play the Mountee's theme for PCO. He was not the Mountee ever. So he cuts a promo saying "I wasn't the Mountee."

Main event is a 4 way womens ladder match in which all 4 looked like they had never been in a ladder match before. It was entertaining until the end. The winner couldn't get the belt down. For about 5 minutes. Leading to really awkward staggering and delaying from the 3 other women.

Finals are on the 13th, my ROH x CMLL x NJPW show is on the 18th.

but they'll have less than a week of recovery time, since they're likely flying in on the 16th. Liger's wrestling for RevPro on the 17th for one. But from the cards I got on both nights, no Chaos, Taguchi Japan or Omega coming over.

But ZSJ is and he's wrestling on Thursday after a G1 where big old men have been ragdolling him.

Title history update, cause why not? (And cause I may not be available on here right away after SummerSlam)

WWE Championship - Jinder's now in 34th place out of 50 people with 83 days. On Monday, he'll pass both Alberto Del Rio and Dean Ambrose to take 32nd place for himself. If Jinder retains the title at SummerSlam, he'll have a chance at passing Sid and Chris Jericho to enter the top 30!

Universal - Brock sits in second with 129 days, still 59 behind Owens. Plain and simple; if he retains at SummerSlam, Brock's probably passing KO.

IC - Out of 78 wrestlers, Miz now sits in 7th place with a whopping 421 days, just having passed Randy Savage this past Sunday. If Miz hangs on to the belt for another month, he could pass Warrior (432), Razor Ramon (438), Tito Santana (443), and The Honky Tonk Man (454) to crack the top 3!

US - Out of 86 wresters, Owens remains in 49th place adding only two days from his third reign. AJ Styles now has 35 days and is currently tied for 70th with David Flair. When SummerSlam happens, Styles will be in 66th after passing Rick Steiner, Sid Vicious, Mr. Kennedy, and Carlito!

Raw Tag - Cesaro has 174 days across 3 reigns and sits in 21st place (out of 74). In 5 days, he'll pass Shelton Benjamin to enter the top 20. Sheamus has 111 days and is in 36th place. Next up is Chavo Guerrero with 116.

SD Tag - Out of 12 wrestlers, New Day is tied for 10th with 18 days each. By SummerSlam, they'll at least pass Wyatt/Orton/Harper and be tied for 7th instead.

Raw Women's - Alexa has 106 days in her current reign and is in 2nd place. She still needs to hold the belt for 5 more months to pass Charlotte's 246 days as champ.

SD Women's - Naomi's #1 with 141 days and keeps adding on to the leads she has over Alexa (111 days) and Becky (85).

Cruiserweight - No one's passing Neville anytime soon. The King has been champ for 195 days, which is 4 months more than Rich Swann's 61 day run (who's #2). When compared to the old Cruiserweight title, Neville only needs two more days to pass X-Pac for 7th place; next is Chris Jericho with 231!

Made up titles that only us/PWB follow
WWE's The Man: Shinsuke Nakamura
WWE's The Guy: Brock Lesnar
Raw Jobber Champion: Curt Hawkins
SD Jobber Champion: Chad Gable
Cruiserweight Jobber Champion: Drew Gulak
Raw Women's Jobber Champion: Vacated due to inactivity by Alicia Fox. Right now in the first-to-3-straight series, Alexa, Mickie, Emma, and Dana Brooke all have 1.
SD Women's Jobber Champion: Lana
GFW's The Man: Alberto El Patron
GFW Jobber Champion: Eddie Edwards

Yup. Double checked WWE.com just to be sure and found this

The unholy alliance of Randy Orton & Bray Wyatt dethroned Heath Slater & Rhyno to win the SmackDown Tag Team Championship. Luke Harper was later sanctioned as champion as well by SmackDown LIVE Commissioner Shane McMahon and General Manager Daniel Bryan, allowing the entire Wyatt Family to defend the titles under the Freebird Rule.

When the Wyatt Family lost the tag titles in a fatal four way, it was Orton and Harper defending them.
