Taking a break from getting ready for vacation and bored. Time for a list and rambling.

Looking over the boots form last year, there are quite a few things I'd like to support back into the contest next year.

1. Basch
2. Wakka

Following that, I don't really know. Unfortunately, you really don't get to play games like that much with SMFFFC nominations... no matter what anyone here says about it, even if they are playable main characters like these two are, almost surely I will have to devote my entire nominations to helping them return. But if I didn't have to...

3. Shuyin (stats)
4. Kadaj (Did well a couple of times, cool)
5. Kimahri (Really sad, honestly if no one wants to be his supporter through boots he probably doesn't need to come back... still X will need some 'stronger' members next year)
6. Paine (Very nonoffensive and generally at least tolerated character, has a couple of fans that could help her do well)
7. Genesis (Longshot. Unless Lopen is willing to keep him in.)
8. Gippal (Probably gonna be weak, but has shown the ability to perform before, usually by just being at the end with something FFD likes less)
9. Dr. Cid (Amazing that a character with so many high finishes and a top 10 appearance could not warrant any interest from his former supporters)
10. Reeve (Nice character, but no one ever cared.)

Also, Dr. Cid and Paine are probably the only two on that list who can do well without you having to mortgage your contest to push them through. Paine has a handful of people around here who like her and would probably help her. The rest of them might have one good contest if you work really hard, but they'll probably be booted sooner than later.

Dr. Cid is great, but my priorities are elsewhere atm. I'd rather have him not in at all than get in and get booted again.

Having Ricard in would be cool, I wouldn't mind going for a Dragoon/Highwind allaince. Would also support the shit out of Gogo

Also I would love to see Prishe get in, while not a player of XI, it feels weird not having a solid character from that game and I like her design and used her a lot in Curtain Call.

I don't know, really depends. I mean while they are currently booted, I still consider Kadaj and Gippal worthy enough because they hung on for a long time compared to a lot of other things. The weak side of things obviously, but you never know who the "next" one of those types of characters could be.

Gippal could maybe barely survive boots. Who supported Kadaj besides you and Gen? I don't think he has any sort of run in him without one or both of you pushing him.

Also, there are multiple FFT party members who have never been in if you want to count them. I know Mustadio, Rafa, and Malak have never been in. I think that's it. I guess Gafgarion counts, too, if we're including people who only join temporarily.

Back to back top 5s followed by back to back boots is a feat we probably won't ever see again, but it's pretty fitting for Selphie, who's had a very up and down tenure. The former member of the Never Miss Club has now been booted twice in a row and had a couple of near misses before then. However, Selphie also has 6 top 25 finishes, with 5 of those being top tens. With this finish, Selphie drops from 54.18% to 51.67%, falling past Kain, Rinoa, Porom, Delita, and Wiegraf to land at 43rd place. She is now the gatekeeper for the northern side of the 50% mark for the contest.

Despite the boot, Selphie actually had really good New Era STATS thanks to the two top five finishes, but this second boot balances that out. She drops from 67.17% to 55.53%, falling from 24th to 39th place, right between Zell and Auron.

Even if you're excited for the eclipse, it only lasts like 90 seconds at most. Seems like the kind of thing that wouldn't really interfere with save my participation any more than just simply being at work would.

With this hard boot, Irvine joins a very exclusive club: The Quadra-Boot Club. Other than the previous two contests, he's been a perennial bottom dweller. Those are his only two upper half finishes, and most of his finishes have been near the bottom. As such, his STATS are fairly poor. With this boot, Irvine drops from 33.07% to 30.61%, dropping five spots from 85th to 90th. He's still well clear of the bottom ten, so the last two years accomplished their purpose.

Irvine's numbers are a decent bit better in the New Era because he has two good finishes in five contests. There, he falls from 48.82% to 41.26%, sliding from 50th to 65th.
