This is just my opinion of course. I ate Panda Express recently for the first time in over a year, and... nope, still hate it. I'm not sure I can think of one I hate more, but that's just off the top of my head. Maybe there is one that I've forgotten about? Your challenge is to help me find it.

For me it's Arby's. I have three Panda express near me, one's bad, one is decent and the third is surprisingly good. All the Arby's I've eaten at was always bad.

I think the last time I went to Applebee's was when I was a young kid and I had to take a shit there and both of the stall toilets were literally filled with shit... not like a leftover log, but so full of shit that you couldn't even see toilet water anymore. I don't remember the food itself being terrible though and it's mostly just coincidence that I haven't been to one since

This might be a contender in terms of the fact that basically any pizza place is better. Then again, basically any Asian place is better than Panda Express. However, if you gave me the choice between a Little Casear's pizza and something from Panda Express, I'd take the pizza

I used to give Subway a pass when it was the cheapest option but now it's no cheaper than many of the little shops around here that are way better quality.

Outback is fine if you look at it like any other American casual dining place, i.e. Applebee's, Chili's, TGI Friday's, etc. The faux-Aussie aesthetic and the idea of it being a little bit higher end are absurd, but that doesn't mean the food is bad.

They essentially are fine dining. All of their steaks are choice or prime, and it doesn't get any better than that. Their shrimp is peeled on site. Their dressings made in house with fresh ingredients. Their salmon and lobster are wild caught. Their pasta cooked to order, which most Italian places don't even do. Their mashed potatoes are made five pounds at a time from house punched potatoes, even though it's way cheaper and easier to get them prebagged like most places have started doing.

Even their onions for their bloomin onions are cut, prepped, and punched daily.

I have worked at many restaurants, and still to this day Outback Steakhouse is the highest quality restaurant I have ever worked at.

The only thing I can say is cattlemans steaks are better because they are cut and aged in house which outback doesn't do.

Panda Express isn't that bad, and I kinda like their food.

Personally, I've had food poisoning during 3 of my 8 visits to a Wendy's (and 1 other time I just felt lousy afterward), these were locations in 2-3 states and 1 in Canada. But, given the small sampling, it could be a fluke although, for my personal safety, I've swore to never eat in a Wendy's again (which I said the last time before getting food poisoning).

Out of the truly major chains, the worst chain is Subway. The prices are way too high for what you get and the consistency is terrible between franchisees, with many of the mom & pops using stale bread to cut costs. Out of the smaller chains, maybe Planet Pizza.

While I'm sure bad Arby's exist, out of the 30-50 ones I've eaten in my life, I can't recall one with bad food quality. I've occasionally run into ones with bad service, but most of the "hate" is driven by Daily Show-watching hipsters who think it's cool to hate on something because Jon Stewart told them to (oh, plus the Simpsons did a gag as well, which was actually a little funny "Dogs do all sorts of crazy things in commercials. Like eat at Arby's.")

While Little Caesar's doesn't advertise on quality (instead its motto is "hot and fresh"), you clearly haven't been to a lot of pizza chains if you think that's the bottom of the barrel. I can think of at least five chains which have left me less impressed, including Chicago Uno, Planet Pizza, Papa Johns, Sbarros, and Papa Ginos (although that last one I've only visited a few times in different locations, it just jumps to mind because of an unpleasant recent visit)

You know what, you might have named something worse than Panda Express without even trying. I don't really remember what Sbarro tastes like, but IIRC it's pretty bad. Haven't even heard of anything else in your list except Papa John's, which sucks, but not as much as Little Caesar's.

I loved those. Peanuts littering the floors, rustic furniture, great setting. And yeah, Outback kinda sucks.

Planet Pizza is far worse than Sbarros or anything else I mentioned. It's a regional chain, though, with at least 10 or 11 locations in CT so you wouldn't know it but, if you tried it, you'd probably rank it at the bottom of your list.

It literally has express right in the name. They're advertising speed, not quality. You should expect it to suck.

Also @Zeus, you missed that Breaking Bad reference, so you must not have watched that show.

Taco Bell, CiCi's, Domino's, McAlister's, Burger King and Five Guys all spring to mind.

McAlister's tea is okay but they only have light mayo, which makes all their food inedible garbage.

yeah i'd say arbys too. hate that place.

boston market is pretty bad as well.

It's no different from a dozen other Asian chains. At least with Little Caesars you could point out the fact that they continually have pizzas cooking so they can hand stuff to walkins rather than making them wait while they cook it like a normal place.

They don't have Panda Express in Canada. I tried it in the US once and it was fine. It's like American Mall food court style Chinese.

I'd say the big chain restaurant stuff like Applebee's and Chili's are much more disappointing and expensive. Outback is overpriced but does at least seem to have good ingredients.
