I'm doing the unthinkable. I'm gonna finish Naruto Shippuden. And before that I'm gonna rewatch Naruto and the parts of Shippuden that I've already seen.

I am gonna skip episodes if I feel like it though. For example, I'm starting on the 4th episode XD

Well finally done with Hunter x Hunter, that was great, now I get to be a part of Hiatus x Hiatus

I will rate the different arcs, using a 10 to mark my favorite arc.

I will make it spoiler-free although I will write about the plot very lightly.

Hunter Exam Arc:
9/10

One of my fave arcs, a bit slow to begin and this is the reason I put the show off forever, intially watching right up to the point where they get to the exam, then I stopped. However the exam is when things get good.

Heavens Arena arc
8/10


Yorknew City arc
10/10

My freaken favorite arc of the series, Phantom Troupe was too cool and Kurapika was too cool in this series.

No you are right, I just wanted to leave that part out for the sake of anyone who read my post that didnt want that twist spoiled
But arcs set in the regular hunter world are so much better
The arc felt so empty and boring like a poorly designed mmo

I'm building my first gunpla, an RX-78-2 1/144. pretty fun and kinda relaxing, you know just put on some music and snip some plastic. this is training for the 1/24 AE86 I bought where I will actually have to use glue... the horror

Probably watch that Tenchi spinoff after I finish up Kenzen Robo Daimidaler. You'd think a show about boobs and mecha would be better. :(

Also got Clockwork Planet, though it's not rated highly.

Rated significantly higher than kenzen robo daimidaler.

ISM is standalone. The series stars tenchi's younger brother I think and they have like 2-3 references to tenchi and the crazy space chick but the references are just in passing (like "my brother used to blah blah blah" and stuff like that). I haven't actually seen anything tenchi aside from ISM since I was 10 or so and I remember nothing except that there was a crazy blue haired girl from space and I didn't feel like it held me back at all. Also speaking of ratings, its quite highly rated.

My favorite part of the series is like 5-10 episodes in when he is working.

I always forget how goofy Naruto is in the original series XD I feel like it makes a good dynamic cause then the series parts feel more series in a way.

Beginning the search for a new tablet to replace my old Hisense Sero 8, since the screen is starting to bow outwards, the pressure mark on the front is getting bigger, the thing randomly resets, etc. *headscratch* Never had a piece of hardware do all of that to me before. Looking into an RCA Viking Pro, but that might have to wait until my birthday next month. Just have to catalogue my apps so that I can redownload them appropriately.

I just wrote a big post about Promised Neverland and Goblin Slayer. I'm not retyping it so here's the tldr

Did you catch up to Promised Neverland? Thoughts on the alignment of the guy they found in the bunker? Are they safe for now or is this a new trial?

Goblin Slayer! Great! Unique main character. Great art. Flow of action sometimes difficult to follow. With the end of this latest chapter it looks like it can become a lot more wide. I wonder how the mangaka will keep the essence true. Still not better than Berserk though. ;)

Sometimes I get intimidated by the crazy sizes of some Mangas, like One piece having over 800 issues. But then I remember Batman has been in well over 10'000 comics... LOL, how am I to read all this!

Currently it's Kingdom at 520~ chapters.
Then Berserk at 350~

Those are lengthy reads though because of the sheer detail and they have a lot of text/info.

But I'm currently 654 chapters into One Piece. I could read 2-4 One Piece chapters in the time it takes me to read 1-2 Kingdom/Berserk chapters. Especially during war arcs in Kingdom.

I recommend all 3 btw. One Piece is just fantastic. If you're looking for more strategy and wartime Kingdom is awesome and the main character is very easy to rally behind. People's faces get cut in half a lot. Berserk is one of the greatest fantasy epics ever. Can get emotional.

Naruto, multiple times. I can't say an exact number but I'm thinking I read each chapter at least 10 times. And just in case anyone is wondering, I know that to be the case because I would read each chapter multiple times in the week waiting for the next chapter to come out. And that's pretty much the case with the Naruto anime as well. Although for that I know I haven't watched every single episode that many times.

Right now I'm stuck in the "just one more episode then sleep" mindset...

Oh definitely chaotic neutral, leaning towards friendly for now. I don't see him actively selling the kids out, but I do believe that he'll have a somewhat mercurial loyalty, and do SOMETHING that'll make the kids's mission a hell of a lot harder.

Starting reading Ubel Blatt and what throws me off is just the shoehorned sex. Like in the first chapter the dude gets saved by a girl. Later when he is healthy she is doing his hair and the brother makes a comment about how when a guy eats from a women's bowl and doesn't lay her he is called a chicken. The girl chases her brother off and the mc finished his apple and is like "so 'girls name'..." And just starts fingering her and sucking on them titties. He does get interrupted though. Just feels like it is only there to be edgy and make it more "mature", I guess the mc isn't a pussy but I hope he doesn't just go fuck every girl.

Will continue to read and formulate a deeper opinion.

This also relates to Goblin Slayer but I think the nudity in that one adds to the savageness of the goblins. like the shields

Haven't read Ubel Blatt yet so I can't really form an opinion on that.

And yeah, in GS, the author really wanted to drive the point home that goblins, no matter how weak they are, are still MONSTERS.

It kinda makes a confusing contrast at the start, since we as readers can fully appreciate and experience how savage goblins can be, as seen through GS's eyes. But the kingdom and all other adventurers still see goblins as a minor threat. (which ends up being a fatal mistake for rookies as we've seen time and time again)

I guess it's understandable, seeing as how there's a supposed demon lord gearing up an army for a massive war, and that's the kingdom's top priority for now. But you'd think the local lords or dukes would do SOMETHING about the constant reports of women getting kidnapped by goblins.

The longest completed series I've read is Kenichi, at around 600 chapters. But I've read all of Detective Conan which is at 1,000 chapters and going strong.

Damn... You guys really commit. I only started reading manga about 4 - 5 years ago so I'm still kinda new to it. I read around 10 issues a week & the farthest I've gotten in a series is probably issue 200 of Dragon ball, issue 90 of bleach & issue 60 of One piece.

I usually get distracted by other Mangas & end up dropping a series in favor of another, I'm just not consistent enough...

I also read some Marvel & DC comics so there's that too.

Currently reading Genshiken mostly (at issue 18) & a little bit of the Spiderman/Deadpool crossover series. I also read issue 1 & 2 of "Welcome to the NHK" the other day, it was pretty deep, have you guys read it?

I don't read much manga, though I have read all of Naruto and Bleach. I'm a bit behind on One Piece and HxH, but read most of those. I've been wanting to read Akame ga Kill, but I'm leaving til I finish my book series, which I think I'll read some more of today, once I finish up these last 3 eps of Kenzen Robo.

Where about are you in Genshiken? I think I might reread that soon.

The sequel manga is also great, but it feels a little different. Most of the main cast are graduated and thus are around less often, and the club is mostly comprised of fujoshi. It's still absolutely hilarious though.

I heard the novel of Welcome to the NHK is quite significantly different from the anime. There's a bunch of themes/points that the anime doesn't cover because they were dark/taboo for TV, and the anime took liberties to leave a positive message.

There's also the trivia the success of the author's novel only fueled his ability to continue living as a shut-in.

ehhh... as of this arc, not really.

It's been on a slow descent recently. You can tell the author didn't really know what to do with The teacher and Keita's relationship. There's hardly been any major development since it was started over 30 chapters ago. And even the way they "broke up" was half-assed with absolutely no legitimate reason given by the teacher other than "just because."

I get the feeling the author wanted to do as much of a fresh start as possible, which is why they heavily emphasized Mikazuki staying the same, and everything "going back to normal"

I dont think so I just read all that was out when I caught up with it around chapter 90 or so

I'm on issue 18 of Genshiken, keyblader. I'll probably read 3 more issues today, I do most of my Manga & Comic reading on Saturday.

I really like Genshiken, but I feel like sometimes it just seems like all they care about is hentai... I would prefer it much more if they focused more on Shonen anime/manga, RPG's & video games other then hentai visual novels, but they only briefly hint at those things in the manga. I mean, hentai is ok I guess, but these guys sometimes seem like its all they care about. There's much more to being an otaku then just perving over erotic visual novels...

I don't remember there being all that much focus on hentai; maybe I just don't remember very well. I know they dealt with making and wearing cosplay, game development, and trying to debut as an artist among other things.
