And yeah, in GS, the author really wanted to drive the point home that goblins, no matter how weak they are, are still MONSTERS. It kinda makes a confusing contrast at the start, since we as readers can fully appreciate and experience how savage goblins can be, as seen through GS's eyes. But the kingdom and all other adventurers still see goblins as a minor threat. (which ends up being a fatal mistake for rookies as we've seen time and time again) I guess it's understandable, seeing as how there's a supposed demon lord gearing up an army for a massive war, and that's the kingdom's top priority for now.
