The Rogue card kinda strikes me as a win more card unless you absolutely just need to survive that 1 more turn. 9 mana to do nothing to the current board is a lot.

hearthstone is such a weird game
surviving to 10 mana against aggro decks is not always easy, first of all
secondly this card is only GREAT if you're in a situation where
you need to cleanly deal 5 damage to something
you need to draw 5 cards
armor is always good to be fair
and putting a 5/5 ghoul on the board will actually make a difference
so yeah barring armor, meeting all three of those other conditions on the same turn when you also have 10 mana and haven't already lost or already won the game
seems like it'll be pretty rare
so you'll almost never get the full value out of it

It's essentially Ice Block + gain 5 for Rogue. Then the hero power sets you up for massive value plays. A grindy Rogue deck probably wants that effect, the question is if that deck will ever be good enough to exist. But you can do things like stealth on 9 and C'thun/N'zoth on 10. You can play double removal or healing (in Wild you have Antique Healbot), or two threats (seems really good with Jade cards. It's probably an Anub'arak scenario where the card is great but the deck isn't there, but the effects seem strong if the Rogue can just not die, and the card kind of helps with that.

Ice block would be a significantly worse card if it cost 9 mana, to be fair. I'm neutral on the Rogue legend myself, if only because Miracle Rogue needs a bonus turn after it goes crazy and fills the board, but I think you're underselling it.

As for the druid card, I can easily imagine a world where I go:
T1: coin->Wild Growth
T2: Jade Blossom
T3: Nourish for mana
T4: Innervate -> the 10-mana spell
T5: Die to pirates

While that is a little nutty, the point is, druid has a lot of ramp. Just having a giant hand restock after all that ramp is pretty darn good. The fact that it can also get you the board is kind of insane. I can't imagine not picking it in arena, at the very least.

Still, lots of combo potential, including Arcane Giants, Edwin Van Cleef, Double Pack if you have a nearly empty hand. Also stolen cards from Hallucination/Shaku can create some crazy combos.

In the reveal video he explains that the card leaves your hand at end of turn so it only works to double up 5 mana or less, barring cost reduction or whatever.

The hero power says "during your turn" which I guess is how they communicate that.

The latest theory I saw was that it wasn't exactly ten packs, which started because now when you start opening a set you've never opened a pack for before you're guaranteed a legendary in the first ten packs, but that they just increased the odds for everything. Would make sense why people are also saying they were getting more epics and golden cards than usual. I wasn't paying attention to how many epics I got but in the 23? packs I got four golden cards.

Got 10 wins with the most recent arena. Players at the start were pretty bad but got the normal line of like golden mages and rogues later on. I was a rogue and had some enjoyable games. One of the most amazing things was some guy dropping deathwing and me using BGH on it.

Also, lately I've been getting a LOT of epics and even a couple of recent legendaries. I still don't play a lot (Like an arena every other day) but I have like 5K dust. woo.
