Christianity and Wars are a really... fickle... thing to say the least, especially in the middle ages where religion was often used as a casus belli for a war that had nothing to actually do with religion. Not to mention things like the entire protestant reformation basically stemming from one king not being able to get a divorce. I'm in no way trying to absolve Christianity here, but I am trying to say that feudal-era wars were very complicated matters with many factors. Especially when you went from Christianity being effectively a cult to it being the dominate religion of two empires with multiple sects within while dealing with a multitude of pagan beliefs to top it off.

A typical Abrahamic religion, self-contradictory at best, self-parody at worst. There is no god but god, who is angry and jealous of the other gods. It goes downhill from there. Omniscient but ignorant, omnipotent and has toddler-level tantrums. Scary!

They have an obligation to pray 5 times a day. Even Extreme groups such as Al-Qaeda and Taliban has to bow during worship times. They cover a complete land mass as well as parts of Africa. The Muslim ME has survived and even thrived during the Crusades but mostly cause the Europeans will infighting within themselves and made dumb moves such as killing the Byzantines. They also mocked the Muslim Prophet and they transversed a huge dessert to fight a well rested well armed army led by Saladin instead of resting for a few days.

Muslims invented algebra and coffee. Also an entire banking system is devoted to them.

I give them an A/10!

The Middle East. Most of the Middle Eastern countries are ruled by muslims and have a dominate Islamic citizenry.
I also forgot to add that Islam/Muslims have governed US policy since forever. I read that Thomas Jefferson was trying to fight Muslim pirates. More recently, candidates and politicians campaign based on whats happening in Muslim areas and countries. Islam is just as, if not more, influential to US politics than Christianity. Both of them are more influential to US foreign policy than Judaism.

As a Catholic, I agree with your statement. Satan has got to be the most boring antagonist ever. His power is to convince you to eat a cake that your mom was saving for a special occasion. Apparently, Satan has ruled the world since forever without a single fight.

Greek/Roman mythology has heroes battling monsters and using gifts from gods to battle other gods. Even in Hinduism, Ramma had an epic battle with an evil god.

Which is why ISIS keeps blowing themselves up in the middle of other Muslims' prayers, right?

Certainly, ISIS is not all of Islam, but it takes a truly staggering degree of historical and contemporary ignorance to suggest that Muslims have never committed violence against other Muslims over cultural, racial, or ideological differences. ISIS is only one example. Islam is no better than any other religion in that regard.

Not in the least. Even in terms of war, Christianity was a token since -- just like with previous religions -- "believers" would take any sign imaginable as an indication that God favored a conquest. Broadly speaking, Christianity has always been a largely secular religion with the exception of some politically-motivated events where you can at least partly blame the religion itself (ie, the Inquisition). Christianity hasn't really commanded the same blasphemy=death respect that others have had throughout the ages. In fact, throughout history you're more likely to have been put to death for being Christian (Rome, Japan, China, MIddleast, etc) than to have put somebody to death for not being Christian.

The Muslim Abbasid caliph al-Mamun (809–833) is said to have had a dream where Aristotle appeared to him, and as a consequence al-Mamun ordered that Arabic translation be made of as many Greek works as possible, including Ptolemy's Almagest and Euclid's Elements. Greek works would be given to the Muslims by the Byzantine Empire in exchange for treaties, as the two empires held an uneasy peace.Many of these Greek works were translated by Thabit ibn Qurra (826–901), who translated books written by Euclid, Archimedes, Apollonius, Ptolemy, and Eutocius.

Diophantus (a Greek) was known as the father of algebra.

Interesting culture. I've always found monotheism a bit dull, and some sub-sects hold very regressive and extreme beliefs- but it's not as bad as Christianity in that respect.
The vast majority of Muslims integrate well into modern society while still maintaining individual identities, and on a personal level I've found Muslims I've known in person to be very fine folk. Discussions with a Muslim coworker about beliefs have led me to the conclusion that they're a very charitable folk- to the point where apparently they have rules against charging interest when they lend something?

B+. Often underrated especially by haters, actually a pretty decent religion as religions go.

I had a suspension once (and only once, to my recollection) about 10+ years ago for getting mad and telling somebody I wanted to go back in time and kick his pregnant mother in the belly to abort him. It was a fair moderation and I didn't contest it. It pretty aggressively violated the ToS. For stuff like that though... It's zany.
