Most of the Middle Eastern countries are ruled by muslims and have a dominate Islamic citizenry. I also forgot to add that Islam/Muslims have governed US policy since forever. I read that Thomas Jefferson was trying to fight Muslim pirates. More recently, candidates and politicians campaign based on whats happening in Muslim areas and countries. Islam is just as, if not more, influential to US politics than Christianity.
