I had no idea Shayna Baszler has been wrestling for like 3 years. I guess it makes sense because she sucks at MMA. I think she's gotta be a favorite if they think they can lure Ronda with her.

I'm rooting for Candice, because she's adorable and puts on my favorite women's matches, even if the majority of them are with men.

Also, the NXT crowd trying to shush people is true. I watched through the first two matches on NXT last night and you can hear them shushing people. This is by far the dumbest thing I have ever seen and the NXT crowd has gone from having fun to being the most selfish crowd ever. Just to hear commentary from a guy you can hear later. And frankly, Mauro is great, but he's not so great that you have to strain yourself and enforce other people to be quiet so you can hear what he's saying.

I would rather have silly chants than absolute dead silence during every match like it is now. It's so much more of a drag to watch because they only allow people to react to big moves, but nothing else. They don't let then cheer or even chant someone's name. It is utterly soulless now.

I like the RAW after Mania crowds. It's become a tradition and it doesn't really permeate to other RAWs. Plus it's RAW. Smackdown is vastly superior anyways.

Despite what anyone thinks of the NXT crowd, you can't tell me that one of the biggest drawing points for NXT wasn't the crowd. I think we all remember the awesome chants they came up with that we all thought were great back in the heyday, even before the first ever NXT special they ever had.

In particular, people loved the crowd because it seemed excited unlike on Raw and SmackDown where it was constantly silent.

There's a big difference between appreciating a crowd who is into what's going on on screen, and a crowd that is into showing they're into what's going on screen.

Whether NXT crowds jumped the shark or they were always like that and it just became more glaring as the overall quality and uniqueness of the product decreased, I don't think they were a big part of the draw at any point. They were just less annoying before.

I think the only notable thing the NXT crowd has ever done that wasn't generic cheers or a negative thing was count off seconds in squash wins for Baron Corbin. That was really cool and actually got him over (well, more than he would've been anyway) rather than trying to get the audience over.

I think more people have become vocal about disliking them because the product isn't as good now so an obnoxious crowd can actually bring it down a lot easier. That and it becomes more clear that they're just doing it to do it because the show isn't as good. But it's probably a little bit of both that and them continuing to try and push the envelope.

It's weird because if you put the same crowd on a New Japan show like the G1, they wouldn't seem out of place at all. They would Too Sweet and cheer for the Elite, but I think otherwise they would just act mark-ish and support good wrestlers in most matches. To me, the difference is that the WWE product leaves too much downtime for people to let their mind's wander, and an idle mind is the devil's workshop for bad chants.
