Do you have a hoarding problem?

Pretty simple poll, but do you have to hold onto every item that you pick up?

I definitely do, to the point where if I start using items in a game with a storage cap of 99 and hit like 80 or so I start thinking to myself "oh I'm running low, better stock up."

I don't usually buy consumable items in games unless I have to.

As a result I hate consumable item based combat systems.

Gah yes; I have a hoarding problem. Special weapons/items in Skyrim, specifically -- I know I'll probably never use them, but there's the worry that instances will come up where I'll need some of them.

Often, yes. The problem is that you don't know what you'll need later in the game, and you might screw yourself by using too many items too early.

Depends on the game. I'm pretty sure some games are impossible without using items, minus extreme luck, anyway. And sometimes items just make the game more fun, when it's not just basic HP/MP restore items.

No, not at all. Items are kind of a "last line of defense", as in I'd prefer to use a healing spell over a healing item, but if I even kinda want healing I'll pop a pot for sure.

I never got the people who hoard items but don't use them. They're worthless if you don't use them...

In MMO's, yes. My bags were almost always bordering full.. GW2 made it much easier with the auction accessible anywhere, but I still hoarded.
In Elderscrolls and Fallout, my cabinets must have been black holes, since they were filled with everything I came across/stole.

Yes, though more with crafting items/potential quest items than consumables. Unless I know for sure that something is junk with no other purpose than to be sold, I'll usually hold onto it. It's why I end up weighed down with a full bag and make inventory expansion one of my first priorities.

Good to see I'm surrounded by my fellow hoarders.

With all the stuff we've saved up we could probably open up a shop if we didn't need to hold onto it because what if there's a secret dungeon to unlock the good ending and the epilogue.
