There's this very annoying type of gas-lighting in modern society that goes on with attacking through passive aggressive means.

In the context, everyone knows fully well how what was written on the cup was supposed to be taken. Pretending to be oblivious to it is the same kind of grating behavior that has a good portion of passive aggressive posts on the internet having smiley faces put on the end of them.

You can't take a jab and then hide behind a smiley face. Especially if you are an employee of a company. And if you are called out on it, then stand by that and see if the company employing you to do this on the clock agrees with you.

I agree on the fact the lady was overdramatic. But I'm gonna be a little nitpicky here but the difference between writing "feel the Bern" or "change" or "yes we can" is those are vague campaign slogans. Build a wall is very specific thing that not all of his supporters are for. If MAGA was written on the cup then I'd be more receptive of the "it was just a light jab or a show of support angle

I've heard his supporters literally chanting "build that wall". He's had campaign mascots get on stage and say it. it's one of his promises that he says he wants to do the most. I'd say it's very much a campaign slogan of his.

I'm sure there were. I never said it wasn't a slogan, just that it wasn't "the" slogan. Not all of them agree with it, and once again it's a specific point of his. It isn't his overarching slogan like "change" or "hope" was which are just vague catchphrases, that would be MAGA in this case. It's not the same thing bro.

Imagine there is a guy throwing jabs and uppercuts left and right, breaking noses and knocking people out. Now imagine somebody shoves him and he goes down, gets into the fetal position and cries like a child

It'd be pretty stupid right?

Now imagine somebody gloats hateful ideology ( X & Y are rapists, Y & Z are criminals, ABC are bad hombres, kick them all out, things will be great again once we get rid of you, etc etc) and then breaks down in tears when they get a little snarky one liner in their starbucks cup.

It's amazingly stupid.... but it also doesn't add up. This woman was looking for a fight, plain and simple.

One time a friend of mine was wearing a "Free! Eternal Summer" shirt. Halfway down the mall later she realized the barrista has written "Swim Free!" on her stabucks cup.
