Sad to see Yeonseung go, but Junseok has been a fun little troll this season, so this probably keeps the game more exciting. I really did think that track was impossible, so I guess I'm terrible at monorail!

Also one other silly thing this episide - there's a point where Kyunghoon is coaching Junseok before the death match and he says "doesn't matter" in perfect English. That really weirded me out for some reason. I don't know why!

S4E7

I never thought I'd be rooting for Kyunghoon to win a death match, but here we are. He's gotten a lot better since the Sangmin elimination and has been a pretty pivotal part of the season. Jungmoon was kinda just there, though her storyline this time around was definitely a lot better than "forced romance with Changyeop". I also think she got kinda screwed by RNG in the death match. She definitely would have won that if her tiles happened to pop up first.

Final 6 is pretty great. I had 5 major rooting interests going into the season, and 4 of them are still there. I wouldn't mind shedding Junseok next episode. Jinho/Kyungran/Dongmin/Hyunmin/Kyunghoon would be a real strong end to the series.

the pacing of each episode is so slow at the start

i need a promise that it gets better instead of having the rules explained like 45 times

the rules usually only get explained twice! and then second time is just a short summary.

the first 10~15 minutes of each episode is always going to be intro stuff, that doesn't change.

and some survivor new zealand (i really like the cast but holy crap the pacing is awful, the RI episodes being their own thing is great but my god i feel like i see 800000000 confessionals saying the same thing)

and every big brother interview with jeff and ika and rhap cast assessments and correspondent draft AND some other cast assessment

and most of the first season of designated survivor (can't finish cause lol indonesia blocks netflix)

i have lots of time when i'm done my stuff for the day in my hotel rooms so that's not my problem

1. Cody (Only truly amazing houseguest. The fact that he gives ZERO fucks about the bullshit pageantry of Big Brother is amazing.)
2. Alex (Bubbly and fun, even if she feels like a fake gamer girl. I appreciate her actually hanging in the challenge the way she did.)
3. Dominique (Semi-sassy black girl...where else would I rank her?)
4. Elena (Kinda fun, and her cheese sandwich temptation was unique.)
5. Christmas (Hilarious that a competitor would choose a vote, but yeah, she played that round right enough.)
6. Josh (He's gonna be super over-the-top and unable to control his emotions, so I look forward to him melting down.)
7. Megan (She's pretty okay. I like her forming a coalition of the people who are normally cannon fodder.)
8. Jillian (She's in the right alliance without being over-the-top and obnoxious.)
9. Jessica (She has big boobs.)
10. Mark (He has big muscles.)
11. Matthew (He has gray hair.)
12. Ramses (He's in the right alliance, but he's way too over-the-top as a personality for me.)

S4E9-11

Marathoned up to the finals. Not much to say about e9, it was fairly rote. Junseok ended up being a fairly fun player this season, even if he was indirectly responsible for eliminating Sangmin.

Losing Jinho sucks, and he kinda got screwed by luck again here, but I won't get too upset. He made it to F4, so I can't complain too much. Kyunghoon's buddy seemed like he would be real annoying to be around.

F3 didn't quite go how I would have preferred, the S3 rematch would have been ideal. At least Hyunmin gets to officially be the best player to never win The Genius!

I'm rooting for Dongmin to repeat in the finals, but I will admit to being impressed with Kyunghoon this season. Surviving 4 death matches is no joke, and he's played some pretty smart games. Narratively, it would probably be better if the Kingslayer slays the final king, but it would still feel weird to have Kyunghoon be the one to make it out of this season, of all people. We'll see!

I actually really like the pacing in Survivor NZ and how it feels. Even though there's RI in it, it feels a lot like an old school season with the cast of 16, no HIIs, and getting to know everybody.

I really sort of disliked Shay anyway from her always going after Tom from the beginning for no reason when he didn't even do anything and always found myself sympathizing with him. In some odd way, I'm kind of hoping for a Tom or Nate win, even though I think they might be setting up for an Avi one, which would be okay.

I've heard nothing good so far. Grodner couldn't be any more out of touch with what the fans want. I'm hoping she's reading this... but the fans want BB10. All strangers, diverse cast, no veterans, no bullshit, just a straight up Big Brother game with HoH, food, and Veto. I will give them credit for having a diverse cast of strangers this year - or at least a more diverse group of people than the past few years.

But based on the response I'm hearing, I'm not going to bother.
