Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royale Winner Mojo Rawley fights WWE World Heavyweight Champion Jinder Mahal to enter the Money in the Bank match. And loses.

I think, if anything, that's one of the craziest things you could've told me one year ago.

- Mojo Rawley, that lunatic two-minute-matcher on NXT who's the lesser half of the Hype Bros, is not only called up, but won ARMBAR? And might be in Money in the Bank???

- Jinder Mahal, former 3MB jobber most off-the-grid of pretty much everyone fired Black Thursday, is not only back in WWE, not only winning matches on his own, but he's WWE CHAMPION?!?!

Like... I can't think of anything crazier that's happened since the Draft in terms of one-year-difference.

Okay, maybe Champion AJ Styles losing to a Chinless Slug. Twice! DUH.

Also, gotta say, I think the most inspired piece of work on the Fashion Files board was Enzo Amore's "Out of Jurisdiction."

Now, obviously, Enzo is probably the biggest fashion criminal of all... BUT... he's also being attacked by a mystery assailant and would have an actual police case for our beautiful detectives!

For some reason, I got a feeling that Naomi's gonna drop the belt to Lana and THEN put herself in the MITB match later on the ppv.

Unless the Women's MITB match happens before Naomi/Lana does.

WWE Champion Rusev continues the trend of the title changing hands fairly often lately. Seriously, Styles was champ back in like January and look how much its moved around. Reminds me of when the Undisputed title changed hands like once a month before Lesnar got it at SummerSlam.

John Cena on people accusing him of burying people.

“This is why I have the reputation of quote-unquote ‘burying younger talent,’ because I will let them do whatever they want with me — and then after they get done, they’re not as motivated. So, it’s not that I sink their ship, it’s that they fail to operate at an elite level. And I’m on to the next person, [to] whom I say, “Hey man, bring your best punch and I’m gonna punch back” — and they don’t take that attitude beyond me.”

This response feels like burying anyone who doesn't succeed after having a program with him.

I don't disagree with that, but I definitely think there's enough people that have been totally screwed by booking and such after a Cena program that's out of their control. I'd say there's enough people who got a raw deal that putting everyone under a blanket of "They stop caring after they face me" isn't that fair.

I don't necessarily think Cena buries people so much as people get buried by Cena's booking though.

I don't really think he's saying that applies to everybody that gets a raw deal afterwards. I took it to mean he's suggesting that people that still had opportunity and floundered after fall under that, as opposed to just "They never rebounded after Cena, Cena buried them." Those tend to be the cases where people accuse Cena of burying most.

Miz said a similar thing to Sam Roberts about the Alex Riley/Mizdow thing, though more as an indictment of people who hate him. He stays consistently over, while people fans clamored for went AWOL after beating him or whatever.

And well, Miz revitalized his career, Sandow was given shit. Not really his fault. If WWE likes you, you have "opportunity" to stay successful.

I would like to think Sandow had some say in the direction of his character post Miz but it's impossible to know. I do kinda think his "serious" promo he cut immediately after Mizdow started the ball rolling on killing him pretty hard, and I would be very surprised if it wasn't him who pushed for that since it seemed more drastic a shift than WWE writing would typically allow.

I mean I love Sandow and think he was given a raw deal but I do kinda think he might be played up as a victim of the writing staff a bit more than he actually was. Particularly given how lukewarm he'd been in TNA.

Nothing he ever did as Idol Stevens was great. He was cringy as a ladies man. Even with as great as he was as Mizdow, that gag ONLY works playing off of Miz and maybe a select few other historical narcissistic characters.

Damien Sandow, Intellectual Savior of the Unwashed Mashes was his lightning in a bottle, the role he was born to play.

EDIT: Also is there a single match of his that you would ever want to rewatch outside of his cash-in on Cena?

I think there is a way to justify a transition from Damien Sandow to Damien Mizdow. Like you basically just have to paint it up as the guy doing what he can to remain relevant and on the payroll or whatever, which they kinda did.

The problem is when you go from Sandow to Mizdow to Sandow as a completely different character. Like the ideal way to break off the Mizdow thing is for Mizdow to go all Intellectual Savior on Miz-- I think the intellectual savior could've worked as a face gimmick if you just had him ripping into heels and not the fans.

Also I still don't like the "they've never had any legendary matches" look with lower card guys since you can't have those matches with the kinda stuff they're in.

I also thought a lot of the Mizdow tag matches were quite good. No 5* all time great matches but plenty of 3*+s.
I'd say his contribution to matches in that gimmick was underrated.

Yeah actually that may be. Rhodes Scholars were a pretty good team while they lasted.

And yeah I thought that stunt double gimmick had a lot of troll potential if it was ever used as an actual stunt double instead of Miz basically fighting for two people. Like imagine if that terrible Rumble Batista won, Miz makes Mizdow fight for him at #1, then Mizdow coming in at his own spot, kinda exhausted, Miz allows this. Then you could do some awesome spot where either Mizdow gets eliminated and Miz comes in and is like "that was just my stunt double" and continues the match, or (not that this would ever happen) Mizdow wins and Miz takes credit for it.

And that's just one match so much great stuff you could've done.

Damien Sandow was excellent in his general role and the Intellectual Savior. And the Intellectual Savior role had so much more mileage to it so I have no idea why they got rid of it.

Sandow constantly put on awesome matches in FCW also. Like, on a show with a lot of really bad guys, he was always the standout in terms of mic work and ring work. He's really smart when it comes to performing in the ring, and he was so good that they paired up Titus O'Neil with him and turned him from a complete travesty in NXT Season 2 to being serviceable in record time.

Sandow always had a ton to offer and even though he didn't light the world on fire in TNA, anyone could see he had a ton of underutilized talent.

So Dave Meltzer was talking about an ESPN article that found the median of every sports viewer separated by each sport. Apparently every sport has a drastic increase in age for fans and professional wrestling has the largest increase.

ESPN clocked that number in at 54 years old, but he thinks that may be skewed a bit high and that it's probably 50. But he said the WWE is probably the lowest age though out of TNA and Lucha Underground though. And supposedly WWE wasn't happy with the ESPN article.

If anything, I would think that WWE would skew better than other sports since it's more entertainment and there would be more kids into it.

Let's not forget the following...
- Cena was out for two months with an injured elbow
- His first match back was against Del Rio, whose finishing hold was an armbar. Despite Del Rio's efforts with said armbar, Cena wins
- The next night before the cash in, Del Rio assaults Cena and applies more damage to his elbow
- Then everything you posted happened
