Oh man, I can't wait to hear you guys' reaction to the next arc in MHA.

It's one of the great turning points in the series, and has one of the better examples of "MC Powering Up" in a shonen show.

Yeah I was a bit disappointed too but I don't think Deku can beat Todoroki right now in his current state. I also started watching Shokugeki no Soma. It's good, and it's really funny

Guys I am SUCH a baka! I didn't realise it when I made my last post about waiting for epi 27 of Hero Academia (to be fair though it was pretty late when I made that post) but it of course means that it's going to be be a 2-cour! I am 1) annoyed at myself for not realising/checking that out sooner as I don't usually watch shows before they finish airing and 2) quite happy that I have more episodes to look forward to.

I suppose this means I'll just have to re-watch S2 from the start when it finishes, how awful that will be! (cough)

definitely, It'll look great on the big screen. Paprika is one of Satoshi Kon's best, full of colour and it focuses on a interesting topic I am greatly interested in. Being able to watch your dreams. Music is awesome too, done by Susumu Hirasawa.

News of the weird from the Steam Summer Sale: There is a game called Deep Space Waifu. This is a shoot-'em-up in which you pilot a space fighter and blast the clothes off giant anime girls floating in space. And yes, there is an adult patch. ... Most likely going to get this game. *shakes head*

Might not actually be able to go see the movie. It's only playing at 10pm on Friday and Saturday; I normally wouldn't mind riding my bike out there, but it's also supposed to be raining on those nights.

Still not watching/playing much. Finished up the 3rd Malazan book. Will probably start the 4th some time today.

Glad that Boku no Hero Academia is getting a 2 cour for its second season, though that doesn't diminish my eagerness to watch it any.

Anyway! my latest anime update is that I saw Busou Shoujo Machiavellianism and it was pretty decent, it wasn't anything special but it at least had something of an "ending" so it wasn't bad imo, I just started Eromanga sensei and it seems okay, hopefully it won't pull a Ore no imouto on me and turn out terrible >_<

I finished Eromanga-sensei, I liked it much more than Ore no imouto mainly because Sagiri isn't a terrible character, the ending wasn't much of an ending though so I'm guessing that it'll get a S2 eventually

Next on the list is... I'm not sure actually, I have quite a few things left to watch so I'll "hum" and "ha" over what to watch for a little while before choosing something lol

Blood lad was pretty entertaining, unfortunately the anime wasn't popular so those 10 episodes and 1 OVA were all we got, a real shame as it was a pretty unique series

Need I say, I really enjoyed Demi-chan.

Fun thing from the Nintendo eShop: Because RPG Maker FES is out, there is a free RPG Maker FES Player available if you just want to play stuff that other people have made. Pretty cool, if you ask me.

So I started and finished Rokudenashi Majutsu and well... I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was, I wasn't expecting much from it but the fact that the series put a decent amount of effort into explaining how the world works was good and the story was quite entertaining to follow, I just hope that it gets a S2 as I'd like to see more of it

So I decided on starting my first ever Chinese anime The King's avatar, I just finished episode 2 of it and I have to say it's not bad so far, the animation is really good and apart from the language difference it doesn't really feel any different than watching "normal" anime

What I watched of spring 2017.



Attack on Titan S2 - I liked it better than the first season. The flaws of the show haven't changed, but since I expect it and it can't be helped, it doesn't really bother me anymore in a jarring way. A few really good episodes somehow makeup for it's other mediocre episodes that are weighed down by it's flaws.

Sakura Quest - AOTS. 2-cour to boot. A cast of 5 adult, young women. PLEASE anime, I want to see more shows with casts like that. Very grounded SoL with equally grounded characters and themes. It has a very consistent tone that can bend for any mood.

Alice to Zouroku - It's alright. It's kinda unique, but there's nothing that interesting.

Danmachi prequel - It's alright. It's just more Danmachi, but subpar.

Tsuki ga Kirei - It's good. Actually kinda refreshing to see a romance whose drama is entirely focused on developing the characters and their romance.

Sakurada Reset - Jojo died for this. I kid, but it is upsetting that David Production worked on this instead of more Jojo. This show proves why when you have a duo of main characters, you don't give them both stoic personalities. I'm behind on the show, but I've heard the later episodes are more interesting, and that the start was an unavoidable atrocity.

Little Witch Academia - 2nd cour. It's good. Pretty simple/template story/character conventions, but it goes to show that animation and direction can carry a show.

Seikaisuru Kado - It's good. Strictly Sci-fi, and I enjoy that. (metaspoilers)Though, in the last 4 episodes, the show kinda jumps the shark, and then jumps the kraken. What a deux ex machina, but somehow, I'm not bothered by it because the direction of the show already veered off so hard



What I haven't watched of spring 2017, but still interested.



Boku no Hero Academia S2 - It's going to be 2-cour, and I haven't watched the first season yet. I'll wait.

Saekano S2 - I just started the first episode of S1 now that it's finished airing.

Eccentric Family S2 - Will watch soon, I'm certain this itches what I like, and hopefully exceed my expectations based on it's praise.

Granblue Fantasy - will watch for the waifus, and apparently very popular and successful in Japan.

Quan Zhi Gao Shou - Heard it's good, also very unique premise.

Re:Creators - 2-cour, will wait.



But I'm not done yet. What I'm watching for summer 2017.



Owarimonogatari S2 - Yes, more monogatari.

Fate/Aprocrypha - Yes, more Fate universe stuff. Hopefully these spinoffs retain Fate's values and have their own values to boot. As an aside, I really liked how Kara no Kyoukai is connected to the Fate universe.

Ballroom e Youkoso - I heard the manga was good, and that it's in good hands for a good adaptation.

Kakegurui - I'm watching it for it's mystery intrigue I think.

THE REFLECTION - Stan Lee. It's going to be interesting seeing both Western values and Eastern values here. Though, I'm a bit skeptical because weird things happen when these philosophies mix. It's a toss up made for failure, mediocrity, or success.

Konbini Kareshi - Studio Pierrot, known for doing tons of shounen stuff. The only thing I've seen done by them is GTO, and I think It's interesting to see them do a SoL original.

Katsugeki Touken Ranbu - I haven't watched any ufotable stuff recently for reasons, and I really want to watch something by them because they're awesome.

Shoukoku no Altair - Uh, historical anime about Persia I think? There's rarely any anime that depicts that area of culture (Which I'm interested in), so I'm interested.

Saiyuuki Reload Blast - It's got a Josei tag for some reason, and there's more cultural stuff? Uh alright, I'm aboard.

I'm watching Boruto. it's your typical shounen. Not sure why I'm watching it since I was getting so sick of them manga but for some reason Boruto is more tolerable. Probably because they haven't made the same mistakes as the Naruto manga yet.

I'm also watching Digimon Savers but for some reason I can't find episode 33 online. Every site skips over it. I'm just going to buy the series online and watch it

Finished the fourth Malazan book. Six more of em to go, think I might have to order book ten now though. Think the 3rd of the Kizumonogatari movies releases on bd this month, so there should be subs for it and I can finally watch the trilogy.

Started reading a series called Hungry Marie.

It's from the same guy who did Beelzebub.

If I had to summarize I guess it would be like Ranma1/2; a comedy battle manga with a gender bender twist.

Only to further twist that, the soul of the guy is trapped in the girl's body and the soul of the girl is trapped in the guy's body. So their personalities are switched whenever the body changes. And they only switch whenever the girl (soul) gets hungry.

Oh and the girl is actually the resurrected soul of Marie Antoinette's daughter. Yes, THAT Marie Antoinette.

It's pretty funny at times, but the story and pacing kinda seems jumps around a lot.

I get the feeling that the author is kinda rushing through his early arcs to build up for something big.

Snagged that Fairy Tail bundle, and I have discovered that PDF files for manga are ... very large. Downloading them in dribs and drabs as I make room on one of my SD cards for the files. Worth it, IMO, though I will say that the cheesecake images (i.e. the Humble Bundle "exclusives") are ones that you have seen before all over the Internet.
