I don't know what's wrong with me. I enjoyed the movie immensely, and was the emotion displayed by the movie was heartfelt, but I guess my general mood has been too stoic to be moved to tears.


Some more details about the movie adaptation; It did a really good job. A lot of the details that the manga had that the movie seemed like it missed, were actually included, but they were subtly conveyed and easily overlooked. Regardless, the manga has a lot of insight on Ishida, Shouko, and Ueno that's worth checking out.

I'd probably hate Kawai just as much as I hate Ueno, if not for the fact that I just find her straight up pathetic. She's just got this completely fake persona, to the point that she even fools herself. She really thinks she's completely blameless in everything that happened. You go beyond being angry and almost find it pitiful.

I've never read the manga, but I remember the title used to pop up a lot more.

Watched an ep of Shipuuden and it wasn't filler... As much as I want to knock it off my list, there's still quite a bit to go and I know there's a good bit of filler and the last arc isn't that great. Though, there are a few moments I'm looking forward to.

Liar Game is the only manga I read any of. It was really interesting and I feel like it's well suited to anime (would make some of the game explanations a bit easier). Still, good as it was, I lost interest mostly cause it was manga so I only made it like 2/3rds of the way through.

It got canceled pretty abruptly when it was nearing the end, which is really the only bad thing about it. They managed to wrap things up well enough, but it felt rushed.

So I just started playing Hyperdimension Neptunia U: Action Unleashed, get through the tutorial, go to equipment selection and change some of Nep's costume and she says "FAIRIZE!... o wait wrong game" which is pretty funny because I had literally just stopped playing fairy fencer F like 5 minutes before starting this game (which is where they do say fairize....a lot).

Both games are actually pretty fun. I think I like Fairy Fencer F more than mainline Neptunia games just because its balanced much better. The lack of attack boxes actually means you can't just oneshot every fight and typical RPG resource management and stats and stuff actually start to matter and its quite a bit of fun. The cast isn't quite as fun as neptunia but its actually still pretty good and the game is pretty funny overall. I haven't completed it yet but I intend to.

My only real complaint with balance is that boss's special attacks are way disproportionately strong. Their basic attacks may do 500-1500 and then their giant AoE special attacks do like 10k. My highest character has like 5k hp. Thats on normal. This means you either have to just keep the characters spread out and rez the people that died or more likely buff the shit out of Fang, fairize, turn on super serious face and then instakill the boss from 50% or so completely avoiding any special moves.

When I switched it to hard the damage values felt poorly managed. Attacks from the same enemy might do 0 damage and then the next attack which is still just a basic attack might do 9k oneshotting whoever it hits. This seems to be almost completely random and they aren't crits either. I'm not sure what the damage formula is exactly but it seems like its failing hard here.

Still, the game is quite fun. All the rpg systems work together and are well paced to be enjoyable so far, enjoyable although not very serious story, fun characters, and tons of outfit customization which is nice. Hopefully it retains these aspects all the way through the end.

Neptunia U is pretty good so far but I worry it might be TOO shallow. The basic movesets are pretty much all ass that gets you murdered but almost every character has some abuseable dash cancel infinite. Verts seems to be the strongest doing very high damage and allowing me just dash everywhere in an instant which is surprisingly fun. Reminds me of infinite overboost armored core 4A blader stuff. The thing is, almost nothing can put up a fight against this that I have come to yet and I max out the damage counter every quest (usually in like 15 seconds if theres a crowd). It's also skyrocketed vert to level 50 really quickly which seems to be almost meaningless as I still do get oneshot every now and then when I mess up. Uni, Rom and Dengekiku also have dash cancel infinites with their strong attacks as well but they aren't nearly as fast or damaging.

Well damn. Neptunia U was short as hell. In the end, nothing could deal with the almighty power Y>A>Y>A>Y>A>Y>A>Y>A from vert which shredded the final boss in mere seconds. Theres some other OP characters as well (why the hell does Uni's HDD jumping attacks do so much damage when its so spammable?) but in the end it was kinda disappointing. I haven't done neptral tower, maybe I'll do it tomorrow.

This Nep game ended up being as poorly balanced as all the rest and stacking attack up accessories made all my characters do about the same damage despite one being level 91 and some of the others being level 20, because 95% of my attack stat came from items. Enemies either killed me in one hit or did no damage with very little middle ground. I guess it was worth playing, but mostly because of how short it was. It is the first nep game since the very first one that I actually completed.

I've been watching a kind of random show choice, Lostorage Incited Wixoss. I have no idea why I started it, especially since I hadn't even heard of the Wixoss franchise before. It's okay, but it gets pretty dark later on.

I haven't loaded it up since 3/29 but Neptunia U was a fun little game. I was working on the set pair lvl 99 maps. I think Uni X Blanc is the only map I couldn't finish. I kept dying and got frustrated...

Huh, I guess I'll log back in and complete all the missions. Uni is one of the characters that feels most OP because you can just dash X dash cancel over and over and when you get HDD you can jump>X>X>X>airdash (which lands you safely) and repeat. Blanc is one of the ones I didn't find a super OP strat for yet. Blanc and Noir feel like the worst 2. The Neps are pretty crappy in base form but their HDD infinites are pretty good. Rom is okay and Ram is OP with dash heavy spam. Really anyone with a projectile that can be dash canceled is OP. Fam feels weak even though she probably has the best base moveset if you don't dash or jump to cancel anything and Denge is a poor mans Vert with her dash heavy spam but a poor mans vert is still broken tier. Bonus points for her having railguns signiture coinflip railgun thing. It made me happy to see that. Vert is of course Maximum broken tier. Infinite superspeed mobility and insane damage along with it. Her basic attacks are pretty trash and so is her HDD but it doesn't matter because dash heavy spamming is just so strong.

Neptunia U is fun, but I agree: It's too short. And Megatagmension is fun, too, but it dials down the enemy count (... and is too short).

I see why you only had the uni+blanc mission left, that one was tough. Found a pretty foolproof strat though. Load up blanc with as much defense as you can, load up uni with as much attack as you can, give both scratch engine (not sure if needed honestly) and give uni eternal gear (also not sure if needed). In the first section, just run to the far end, due to horrible design, the bowser rip off boss enemies cannot actually get up there from lower down the hill so you just use uni's hold X attack until you build up full SP and then use the 2 bar straight line special move to clear out the small fry. They get up, you shoot them, it gives you back sp, they get close, you repeat. Once all the little guys are dead you can deal with the bowser thingies just safely shooting them from up the hill. If you hold the shoot button it actually autotargets although its not as efficient as manually aiming. Should also mention once you start killing the bosses they can actually spawn behind you on top of the hill. Just dodge the spin attack and then use the 2 bar to launch them down the cliff to join the others.

After you get to phase 2, the hard part is done. Activate blancs HDD just in case (cause it has tons of def so you can run around if y ou manage to fuck up) then switch to uni, use HD, trigger the spawns of the second area and walk back to the barrier you just entered from by the wooden bridge. Mash Y with HDD uni with your back to the barrier. You win. Nothing can make it through the blackhole wall and the mechs won't used ranged attacks until getting close which traps them in the blackhole. Basically the same strat I used for beating the gauntlet on pro (pick black sister, spec full attack, as soon as match starts go to corner and mash Y, doesn't work against blanc for some reason). Sadly you don't really get to show off any sweet combat skills with this strat and you are mostly just standing still either mashing Y or holding X but whatever. It got the job done. All I have left is famitsu's solo mission and nep+denge's 99 mission but it shouldn't be too bad.

I finished it last night. It left many questions unanswered and a sequel hook. The ending also felt rushed, and had some nerve to try to pass off as an even slightly happy ending. Several people are gone forever, the games continue, and there's another Big Bad.

But I enjoyed it well enough, I guess.

With my strat you basically don't have to interact with any of the bosses. In part 2 theres no dodging or anything, you just stand there and mash heavy with HDD uni. In part one you stand on a hill where the bosses can't reach.

Anyway, I beat everything I think. It says I didn't truly beat the neptral tower until I clear it with everyone but FUCK THAT. The tower is horribly designed. Every floor except 49 and 50 is WAY easier than everything you have to do to unlock the tower so theres 48 floors of complete time wasting. It was nice to be able to fight a high level version of the final boss (and this time I actually had to learn whats its moves do, basically you hit it melee and then dash away as it retaliates and repeat until dead. Very repetitive).

The only mission that felt reasonably balanced in the entire game was nep+denge's 99 mission. That was pretty fun and I had a few close calls since neither of them are really that OP and it has the 2 difficult types of enemies (shadows and mechs).

The tower really left a bad taste in my mouth and I'm kinda wishing I hadn't done it. It was just so incredibly boring and long. SO many floors where you kill almost everything and then 50 enemies that you oneshot spawn 2 at a time on opposite ends over and over. Like, the first floor is level 7...You can't unlock the tower without beating the game's story which is level 50. Why? The gauntlet is also pretty bullshit as its either everything dies in one hit or you die in one hit and it becomes a game of can you execute your characters cheese strat without fucking up once. Its exactly what I hate in action games, low mechanical challenge high punishment fake difficulty. Final conclusion, this game is a poor mans senran kagura which is already a poor mans dynasty warriors. Play the main story if you want to kill some time and have fun with the neptunia cast again but stop there because there is no light at the end of the post game tunnel.

Man I can't find anything I want to play and the current anime season still isn't over. Wish a new monster hunter would come out already, or preferably an actually good ARPGMMO but gaming has collectively decided that they just won't make a good MMO so o well.

Out of curiosity, are the any MMOs with semi randomized spawns (something like ark where there are spawn regions but they could be spawned anywhere in the area) and then actual idle behavior like animals drinking from streams or bandits playing cards or chatting or whatever? I've been thinking more about MMOs lately and how all enemies either patrol a route or stand around waiting to die and have very fast and predictable respawns when so many non MMO games have done it so much better and with little effort.

Anyway since I was looking for new stuff I found eOnihei, it was a surprisingly decent series that was let down by some very obvious budget issues but overall it was a good 7/10

And now since I don't have anything else new to watch I decided to start a re-watch of Re-Zero, I'm only a few episodes in but it's still great and I still ship Subaru x Rem

I'm pretty sure she'd be ok with being his mistress, so long as Emilia is the main.

Also, for Erased, I felt there was a bit of letdown as well, though it was a great show. Mc not getting the girl he tries so hard to protect makes me butthurt, though he does get that other girl, so it's not complete crap.

Disagree. Villain reveal was complete garbage and protag being cucked at the end was icing on the cake. furthermore the "time-travel" power of protag turned out to be pretty much totally inconsequential and they never even bothered to explain it with any kind of excuse as far as I remember.
