All those and in California. I know 2 others like that who have committed suicide. One of them hung himself in the barn he worked at, the other layed down on train tracks and waited.

Ummm yeahh. Lots of places. Interviews and nothing has ever landed me in a job. I've survived college 4 years without a degree because education is messed up. I already asked for the drop rates on men at the college from a teacher, she didn't reply to me.

The 2 jobs i've had were pretty much slave labor. One of them was racist because I was white and working a "mexican's" job. The other one I blew out my shoulder trying to work 12 hours after working 30+ hours that week. The mexican people that I worked with at the 2nd job were nice to me. I can speak a bit of Spanish because I'm a legal immigrant from Portugal. So yeah, me and my parents sacrificed everything to be here and I get treated like shit because people think I have "white privilege". I didn't have to learn a 2nd language. I didn't have to eat all this processed junk food, I didn't have to take these dangerous vaccines, I didn't have to suffer for years and years after high school.

People see the color of someone's skin and starts judging them already. People don't want to see me get ahead. They don't want me to have a life. They just want beta-males working for them or people with massive amounts of experience.

Well, there's only one way to know.

I'm going to apply to a couple jobs as a make-believe black man and see where I get.

If I get replies on all of them, I'll become a Republican.

I mean without much money there isn't that much you can do. Can't date, support a family, move out and so on. All I can really do is keep applying for work though.

Portugual....I find your story a bit hard to believe Portugal is a developed nation why would you leave everything behind to come to another developed nation?

Yeah... Probably not even close to what most slaves went through, without taking into account you must have at least been making minimum wage.

Anyways, what is your degree in? If you picked something hard to get into you should have been ready to do some menial, low wage work before going straight into making the big bucks.

There is a huge truck driver shortage right now.

Go to a trucker school, graduate, and they will help you find employment afterwards.

Most hiring companies will repay most or all of your student loan for learning to drive.

Also, many companies will give you a nice signing bonus when hired in.

Starting pay for entry level truckers ranges from $45-$55k per year. Stick with it, and within 10 years you'll be earning close to $100k a year.

Don't know your exact conditions TC, but some places are just literal dead zones for decent work. I am employed at a steady position, but the pay is terrible, and does not cover the medical bills I accumulated throughout college (nor my college loan for that matter).

I have been looking for two years now with little luck. I almost took a paralegal position, until they told me I would be payed minimum wage, which would have put me in an even worse position. The situation is bad enough here that 30-40 year olds line up outside the local pizzahut when they are looking to hire drivers. And those around me think my 16K is "damn good money".

What are your skills? What are you going to university for? What previous jobs have you held? How did you perform at those? You're leaving out a lot of information just so you can push a narrative about boogeymen keeping you down from what I can tell.

I've heard a high school teacher forced to learn spanish or else they would lose their job. It's a sad thing to hear in these changing times.

He didn't add, "degree" at the end so I'm assuming that if he's struggling to get a job (and left a welding class after 2-3 months, which isn't that hard), he doesn't have two degrees.
Also, you don't need a degree in "Computer" to build anything.

also do you have any credentials in music or psychology? being bilingual is fine but I can't think of many reasons you'd need to have it, other than working for the federal government or something, I guess.

Eh, if you're applying to a Spanish/French heavy area and you are dealing with customer service, I could easily see it being a bonus. I have heard of call centers actually paying people more if they're bilingual.
It's not completely useless and I could totally see someone mentioning it as a bonus.

If he knows how to design PCBs, that's one thing, but I assume it's not what he means by "computer building". I assume he just means that he can put completed parts together in a PC, which isn't a hard thing for anybody to figure out. It's basically just plugging a few things into each other
