I have a Horizon question. The resources that say they are used for selling for shards, they are ONLY ever useful for selling and I have no reason to hold on to them?

nope, there are some things that say that but are necessary for crafting, like most animal bones/skin

it's annoying but you'll get the hang of what you can and cannot sell. you'll likely make the most of your money selling mods you don't use

Also, a good rule of thumb is to not sell anything you only have one of; there are a couple of rare things that say they are vendor trash but you need them for quests or upgrades

kinda have the feeling if I don't power through FF15 this week, I won't ever go back to finishing it. how long are chapters 6 and on?

after chapter like 9, the game goes blazingly quick.

That's assuming you're doing a bunch of the sidequests to get extra royal stuff.

Otherwise you can blitz the entire game in under 25 hours. The XP problem can be solved, by you just accumulating as much as you can and then going for a x3 bonus.

I did a bunch of sidequests this week while watching E3 stuff in the background. Haven't done any optional tombs/dungeons though apart from the one after Sonia's toad sidequest

Been playing Digimonstory Cybersleuth.
I think I'm 3/4 through it and wow I wish I had piercing Digimon because just about every boss is annoying and takes forever to beat now

I assume Batman will be on sale soon along with Walking Dead S3.

Now on the other hand, what about Guardians of the Galaxy, haven't checked anything out, but should one watch the film before starting the game?


ZTD about halway through, I like a lot about the game, but more puzzles feel obtuse compared to 999 and VLR. A few times as well, I was clicking on what I thought was an object of interest, only to find out my clicks weren't precise enough. I also like the story, but don't like the fragment presentation it's going for.

Well on my way to clearing Ending B with Nier 1, I'm not really bothering with the sidequests on that one though which might be why I'm going so fast. I forgot how much this game played like ass. Nier is also a really unlikeable protagonist, but Kaine, Weiss and Emil are top notch.

It's good, couldn't quite get all the choices I wanted to play into the end, but still good.

I think 2 and 4 had better intro sequences, actually 4 was a really good ep after a slightly slower paced 3rd ep. 5 left me wanting more, but not sure what. Like I want both more Borderlands, but I also want more of this cast and BL games tend to refresh their playable crews.

I'm fairly confident in ranking what I've completed as such though:

watch the screen and press triangle for 7 minutes. if you press lock on + triangle, as you've been doing for the entire game up until this point, you'll aggro more than the one guy you want to kill and have to restart at the checkpoint after a long load time. this is not game design worth defending.

Hold on to bones and skins for crafting ammo upgrades. Sell everything else.

Lenses and hearts are for weapon/armor trades. You'll only need one or two of each, so no need to hold onto a stack of ten or whatever. I just sold everything, then when I saw something I wanted, I went and fought that machine a couple times. Some people don't like farming like that, tho

Sell processed metal blocks and desert/slagshine glass. You get nothing special for them. Animal talismans, machine cores and ancient charms are only for selling.

If you're looking for money early on, sell your metalburns. They sell for a lot and you won't be able to use them until later

I've really enjoyed what I've played so far of Horizon. Don't know if this a good indicator but I just completed the first Cauldron sidequest I came across. The stealth in this game is easy and fun in a way i was not expecting.

finally got around to starting nier automata this past weekend. put around 6 hours into it, balancing main missions and sidequests. the weirdness of the world is pushing me through the fairly rote sidequest design so far. i hear that particular element doesn't exactly get any better, so here's hoping the writing stays strong in that department.

the combat looks flashy (well, 2b looks flashy), but yeah, people saying it's just kinda mashy, at least on normal difficulty, weren't exaggerating. i also know it's not the main draw, so i'm not terribly disappointed or anything. same thing with the ps3-looking open world.

speaking of open world, is there a fast travel option? some of the sidequests asking you to go back and forth between distant places already feel a bit tedious, and nothing too interesting is happening while i move from one point to another. at the very least, the music has been pretty good!

oh and that best of e3 psn sale is about to end soon. got nioh with the season pass from the days of play sale last week, and i'm definitely getting wolfenstein tno before this sale ends. i could buy more stuff to hit $100 and get that $15 credit. gonna be at $63 spent with wolfenstein in the cart.

i'm considering for honor. the concept still sounds super cool to me, and i kinda want a new multiplayer game to get into.

there's also the entire destiny collection. stopped with the base game so there's certainly plenty of content for me to go through. but do i really want to binge on destiny to get ready for destiny 2: more destiny???
