As the Grisaia veterans here told me when I picked up the VN, if you start seeing choices, the split from the common route into one of the individual character routes is about to happen, but the common route is long, so do not expect to see choices for a good while.

Speaking of VNs: For anybody who has played the Panzermadels VN (... y'know,, the one where you date tanks), the developers have released the H-patch. So, uh, yes, there's now tank porn. Right.

Not sure which route I'll pick. Currently at the part where Yuuji and Makina are mocking Amane for not having any hobbies after Amane calls Yuuji boring for working out on a Saturday morning.

I watched the anime for this, so there's some stuff I remember, but with my poor memory a lot of this will be newish. Not sure how the anime covered either, so there should be at least some outright new stuff.

So the Planetarian movie wasn't really a recap movie, but effectively was. 120 min total runtime, and 40 minutes of new footage, which apparently is a lot. (The producers wanted like 20 min of new footage, but the creatives/directives felt that would be a disservice to something they were really passionate about). meta-spoilerThey basically retold the main story by blanketing it in another, exactly like what Titanic did. It really doesn't add much sustenance, but makes it a bit more wholesome and conclusive? IMO, it feels like a better story, but that fluff makes it less poignant to the crux of the story, and throws off it's perfect pacing. IMO, watch the 5 ep OVA, not the film.

I started up on Happy Project, a seemingly cut-and-dry manga where all single 18 year olds are sent away together for a month to find a marriage partner. It looks like a foregone conclusion for the first few chapters, but something happens that totally throws a wrench in the works and changes everything. It's got me hooked.

Hence why Panzermadels exists in the first place. Alas, Battleship Bishojo is about a battleship full of bishojo, not bishojo who also happen to be battleships. (Be not led astray by Army Gals, either.)

I went to go watch Your Name again, since I wanted to watch it again this time dubbed, and the nearby theater is taking it off soon. And then I was trolled; expecting it dubbed, but apparently they switched it to the sub. I reckon they were showing it dubbed the first two weeks and then subbed for the latter two.

The sound system of the first theater was clearly better. I'm guessing since it was regular sized, and the small theater for the second viewing had aptly weaker equipment.

I don't think I'm crazy obsessed about the movie, or was I greatly moved emotionally, but it's such a well-made movie that is sweet and touching, that it is worth it to experience it again.

ughh these all sound good.

Ive seen all of hanasaku iroha except the movie and I loved the show.
Seen five episodes of nozaki kun and like them, but I think I wana watch the dub.
Watched maybe 7 episodes of silver spoon and loved it but made me hungry, maybe ill start on this again.

Unfamiliar with the bolded.

Was watching Tsugumomo this season and it feels like a guilty pleasure, but theres also hot girls fighting with powers.

You're underselling it. It's a pretty special anime. It's incredibly rare for anime to have a salaryman as a main character, and it's unusual for a comedy-SoL to tackle themes that are usually reserved for heavy dramas. It's brilliantly done, while dressed as otaku-bait.

Dragon Quest Heroes II is amazing, and is different enough from the first game that I feel quite comfortable having both in my library. ... Still not a fan of all the puns, never have been, but I am ignoring them as best I can.

Also: All of the fans demanding Ike for Fire Emblem Heroes can shut their pie holes now, since the current summoning banner is for Path of Radiance. Also includes Titania, Soren, and Mist. Alas, my attempt at summoning yielded nothing but duplicates of previous units, but I do hope to have Titania, one day. (She is the only Tellius character I want for this game.)

Persona 5 continues. The shipping wars on the P5 board here at Game FAQs are about as virulent as expected.

Nothing to say on the anime front. Have not been watching a great deal of it as of late. Crunchyroll has been having issues.

Watching Acca next. Just finished Ore no Nounai Sentakushi ga, Gakuen Love Comedy wo Zenryoku de Jama Shiteiru, which has the longest title of the things I've seen. It was ok, the subs on it were goddamn annoying at parts though. I know I don't have the best grasp of Japanese, but the spoken words and some of the subs were just so damn off. I'd say it went beyond even localization levels in some parts. T_T

I loved Ore Nounai. I do hate when I hear a line in japanese and go "oh, i know what that means" and then look down at the subs and realize it says something different.

It had some nice characters and the concept was amusing.

ACCA is pretty good so far, though I'm constantly worrying about Lotta's well being.

Thirty-five hours into Persona 5, and my wife and I are barely at the third Palace. Scary how this game eats time. I measure JRPGs in twenty-hour increments (because beating the original Suikoden takes about twenty hours if you get all 108 Stars of Destiny), and this game is already reaching two of those. Impressive. May or may not end up being my favorite in the series, but that remains to be seen.

Negative buzz is building up around the Japanese release of Fire Emblem Echoes. Apparently, it sold less than one third of what Fates did, and folks on the various Fire Emblem boards are blaming that on the game being a little too faithful to the original FE2. *shrugs* That, or gamers overseas are irate at the lack of Fates-style waifu mechanics. Still looking forward to the U.S. release like crazy, but I guess all the Archanea remakes are destined to be cursed.

Not too surprising about echoes if it really does stay faithful to the original. There have been a lot of improvements to the formula over the years and going backwards would suck.

I'd put over a hundred hours into P4 before I was even close to beating it. But I like to take my time with games.

I never got into Fire Emblem; I'll probably get around to playing Sacred Stones from my 3DS Ambassador games eventually. Or I guess I could play any of the 3DS games, since I recently did things to my 3DS. (Funny thing is, once I finished doing that, I instantly realized I already have almost every 3DS game I'm even slightly interested in. There's very little point.)

I liked ACCA, it had that slow/easy going vibe, but was interesting enough to pull it off. Also, knocked off some other short things. Going to try to finish Girlish Number now. Stopped partway through episode 6. Show just hasn't really been my cup of tea.

Sacred stones is still my favorite FE game just because it lets you grind on random battles.

Path of Radiance is the only FE I've played. Have a GC copy of it.

Sacred Stones is one of the good ones, I agree, but be prepared for uneven difficulty. There are chapters that are dirt easy, and there are chapters where you will more or less have to let a unit die in order to complete them (... unless the RNG looks kindly upon you, which it generally does not in this series; be prepared to miss at 99% and get OHKO'd at 1%).

I dislike Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn, but I am in the minority there. *shrugs* What I get for starting at Blazing Sword, I suppose. Still my favorite.

I liked Sacred Stones as well, played it growing up but unfortunately never finished it, the difficulty spike crushed me. I got to the stage where you cross the lake? river? on a boat and are attacked. In the previous level I was kicking ass but then lost multiple units in this one battle and never could beat it. I enjoyed what I played though, great soundtrack too.

Guys, you can grind in sacred stones pretty early on. The difficulty spike means nothing to a team of maxed out characters.

Man, the first ending in the second season of bakuman has the opposite effect on me as the first ending from the first season. It makes not want to do anything. Strange.
