did anyone here play the grasshopper joint Sine Mora back in the day?

i really liked it and they're making an EX version coming to all platforms. it's THQ Nordic and they have a history of giving away their remastered editions to original owners on Steam. If you happened to play it on 360 like most people did, the Steam version is currently on Bundle Stars right now for $2.37 with code EASTER5 and 2.50 without the code.

No guarantee they'll give it away but they said they'd like to in a Destructoid interview. So if you wanna get it in your Steam library. Will be $20 otherwise on PS4/XBONE/Switch/PC

i fucking love hacknet

i loved it when it came out, but weirdly enough, i never beat it. i didn't even realize that i never beat it. i bought the new DLC and decided to start a new game so I could remember everything, and I'd run the DLC after getting a good bit through it and then I started finding new content not related to the DLC i've never played before

i think another game came out and derailed me from hacknet around release, i feel so dumb. i just beat the main story and god it's so good. starting the DLC tonight.

it seems like a total crapshoot regardless of specs. I'm being conservative - locked 30fps with a mix of high and ultra settings - and it runs wonderfully.

A big part of why I dropped the game on Xbox One was because I had difficulty making out hazards and landmarks on my TV. I have a big TV but I also sit far away and need glasses. I made so many mistakes. Not so on PC. Even when I'm in cockpit (preferred play style), playing in ultrawide is enough to compensate the lack of peripheral vision.

I love hacknet but it felt like a proof of concept. it only went all in like twice, once with the pacemaker and once at the end. well, and that one weird hack halfway through.

this Overwatch event hit at a really bad time because I could be using this 4 day weekend to catch up on Zelda, Persona 5, or Nier, and yet here I am playing the (really good!) horde mode and grabbing all the loot boxes (which are dropping everything I want, omg)

oh right, that. I liked how it looked in stills, then in actuality it was this super referential indie puzzle platformer and I was turned off. IIRC there was a lengthy GiantBomb Quick Look if you wanna check that out.

I did the intro. really dig the battle system. it takes a lot of inspiration from D&D. skills recharge per encounter, dropping to 0HP results in a knock down that you can heal out of rather than a death, that sort of thing. pretty cool.

I think he breaks the fourth wall in the game tips, but otherwise it's a straight, if light and loose game? dunno. I bought it to support them because I love their games, I just have other priorities right now.

i wanna say like 5 hours or so? Mainlining it less than that but there are a couple pretty big challenges after the main DLC quest, some hidden stuff that I was stoked to explore.
