The key to money management in BotW is cooking.

Just farm a bunch of animals for meat and with five of them you make a meat skewer worth 120 rupees. And if I'm not mistaken, can't you pick up your arrow from the dead animal (I'm probably mistaken)?

Yep. It's nice that the game warned me before going there. You should always get a heads up from a game when you are about to hit a point of no return.

Woah I gained 3 levels just from the preparations for battle. Just 4 away from the next level of Griffin gear. This next part sounds like it could be somewhat long and I'm not sure I have time to do it right now ugh.

I don't remember that part taking too long, but I'd probably hold off if you have somewhere to be.

I might be going out to dinner and spending time with family. Nothing settled on yet, but I don't want to be in the middle of what's likely to be a great part and have to leave. I gotta be getting close to the end by now. Probably a couple major quests/scenes after this part before the ending, but at the same time it feels like it could be a while if more sidequests open up. This is the point of no return though so it's probably all main stuff from here and uh late game contracts I guess since there's no way I could do the lv33-35 ones that weren't part of the expansions.

There's probably a fair bit more left of the game than you think. It's all main quest stuff, though.

splatoon 2 test fire went over big with the kids. which isn't a surprise. until BotW came out, my nephew played splatoon 1 every weekend, time permitting, and the soundtrack is something my niece plays when she's playing in her room.

Witcher 3 sure has some hard choices and a realistic worldview where not everyone can get a good ending. It's especially amazing because a lot of these characters are total asshats and you still feel bad ruining some of their lives because shit just happens sometimes. I'm on Final Preparations now which seems like it consists of 4 mini-quests.

On Through Space and Time. I keep dying in this fucking poison fog and am having trouble figuring out where to go even watching a guide through it. I keep having my breathe taken away even when I'm not in any fog/poison =\

That part was more annoying than it needed to be, but I'm done with it and got to see some elven art.

I don't recall having trouble with that part? But I was also in an end game mindset, rushing to complete and didn't even remember it until I looked it up

As if there aren't enough games, Heavensward wraps up this Tuesday. Gonna need to resub soon to catch up for Stormblood.

In all seriousness, I was thinking about skipping Destiny 2 at launch - my playtime has dropped off hard in the last couple months, and I only got the game last summer. Thought maybe I could leave it for half a year or so and put the money toward a holiday-season Switch instead.

Then Bungie posted that promo image and my hype gland almost shattered. Guess I'm going Day 1 after all.

Beat the main story of Witcher 3. Pretty great game with some minor flaws and some parts of the story weren't explained all that well, but whatever. Do I have to select the Hearts DLC in the main menu to start it or do I just find it in the game on my own?

I think if you have it installed you can just load up a save and find the quest to start it.

It never really explained how that is possible. Was there two of him at some point from Ciri's time space powers that allowed him to be saving her while also be the cursed Uma? The ending was kind of just "it was magically done who cares about details" too.

I've never really had that problem with TT games. I'm invested in the stories, so I remember them when the next episode is out. All that's necessary from one episode to the next is broad story beats and character motivations. I couldn't tell you what many of the choices were, however, probably because they're no longer novel and people have stopped discussing them endlessly.

Skjall was unconscious. It's not one continuous scene; time passes from one scene to the next.

Telltale does a fairly good job at what they do but they could still do it better. Walking Dead didnt age well and Game of Thrones had a very mixed reaction. Their two best forays are The Wolf Among Us and Tales From the Borderlands and neither of those sold as well or are getting Season 2s, augh.

i'm still seriously contemplating getting the year one collection for destiny 1 and playing through all of it before destiny 2 drops, but that will be decided on how many new games i will have played by august, if this september release date for the sequel really does happen.
