yeah i kinda know what you mean. i was doing that for a while, mostly because i was hoarding orbs and had such a small squad. the motivation is already dying down again with Lucina and Eirika at 40 now and the lower * units getting kind of hard to train (and ultimately could be a waste of time if i 5* them).

i generally take it easy with leveling and occasionally just burst fire a bunch of units. like sword, axe, spear mastery quests? did those. all 3. it was hell to raise all those but i did it. i've got something like 16-20 4* units over LV30.

meanwhile i look at march's quests and see the lunatic mission needing 5 armored units. i'm just dumbfounded at it because who the f*** has 4 of them?

i have one Sheena. that's it. out of 92 units. like you'd at least figure they'd make us do a Cav army or flyers since hey, at least they've given 2-3 of those. nope, armored. who hasn't been featured once and is the rarest class.

So trying to make sense of a rerolling guide now. Is rerolling even worth it for particular heroes or should I just say f*** it and take whatever?

I've rerolled 4 times now but I'm not even sure what I'd stick with. I guess something that is unanimous on the S or SS tier list? Off the 4 rerolls so far I've had 5* Eldigan twice and 4* Catria once but didn't think they were good enough to stick with, now I'm not sure.

Any idea on what to shoot for?

I believe Takumi , Hector , Azura , Lucina are considered the best with Takumi and Hector at the top of those. Ryoma / Nowi / Kagero / Effie / Nino are just below them.

Depends if you really care. Playing for a few weeks often enough in the early stages of the game got me around 60-80 orbs. I never actually did any sort of re-roll since I got Hector super early and I really wanted him and was content there.

But since you've re-rolled a few times you might as well start with a 5* anyway right? But honestly I'd have enjoyed the game regardless without a 5* (that may just be me).

All the tier lists I've seen are so vastly different. There seems to be a few consensus top units and then everything after that seems a cluster >_>

Guess I'll do a few more rerolls and see how impatient I get. I'll probably settle if I get an S

you forgot Linde. she's better than all of them.

also Hinoka is underrated on that list imo, she should be in that second tier.

I have to say that I do like the summon system in this game though. Getting the choice is super nice compared to most Gachas.

Launch celebration maps from Special Maps are a super quick way to farm up orbs now. Problem is those come off the board in 3 hours so ideally you get all of those BEFORE they rotate out aka don't overreroll

not sure if you even could do the hard modes that quick. but yeah ideally you want to at least get those normal modes done for 15 orbs.

You can probably do the hard modes just go hard on a character or two push em to 20. There's a lot of free exp in the game early. I did this early with a Sophia banner cause I didn't realize the character banners repeat.

(Okay I didn't quite manage but it was harder cause it had a 4 survivors condition.)

I'm pretty sure they do I used to have a Frederick with Spur Def that I used with Tharja that I was almost certain it worked for. Mostly because I didn't even realize what that ability meant cause of obtuse wording and just noticed Tharja's absurd damage variance. Admittedly haven't done this in a long time (current account doesn't have Tharja) so possible I was wrong, but I kinda don't see why Spurs would be coded differently.

Marth at 5* gets Falchion, which in addition to being a super strong weapon is effective against dragons and heals him by 10HP every 3 turns.

Frederick has fortify def, not spur. Fortify and hones are what affect Tharja's tome.

They don't. It needs to be a buff that create blue numbers. Those are Rally, Defiant, Fortify and Hone. Goad, Spur and Ward do not create blue numbers so they don't count.

you can check boon/banes by going to where you would 5* them and checking the level 1 5* stats before confirming. note that some sites count them as equipped with the highest weapon for their 5* stats, some do stats with no weapon at all.

if Cordelia is +atk you might consider her over Marth, or if you're going to roll for Karel you might consider Nino or Kagero.

Just burning through these missions for orbs, Tharja seems ridiculous. She one shots absolutely everything by stupid amounts so far.

Oh, is Kagero good? Ninjas/thieves have generally disappointed me.

Kagero's weapon is super effective vs "infantry" which is basically everything (everything that isn't mounted or armor) so she ends up doing massive damage.

Often can one shot (as in, the first attack, before his counter hit) Takumis with her.

Kagero gets +50% damage against anything that isn't armored, flying or on a horse. so the +5 atk you get from 5*ing her becomes +7 damage pretty often. definitely not as crucial as Marth, though, unless you get another 5* sword user to replace him.

Didn't get anything good off the second 20 so rerolling.

Already kinda regret it as Tharja was stupidly good compared to the rest of the units I had. But none of the other units I rolled were above B and most weren't even rated.

It's okay I rerolled Tharja + Azura you'll never reroll something better than that without trying 80 times

I rerolled a week ago and picked up 5* Azura and Kagero on from the first group, and got 5* Camilla, Tiki and Eirika x2 soon later. It's probably better than my main at this point. Can't wait to promote Tharja to 5* and pair with Azura and Eirika

Ursula looks kinda spacey but not to the point of being derpy. I don't mind it

Then again I'm not an Ursula fan exactly so maybe I'm just not being as harsh on it.

don't think i actually threw away any accounts that were that great. there was one that was either Minerva/Abel or Minerva/Cain (or it might have been all 3 and one was 4*?). but i did a couple more rolls after that on the account and got nothing. same thing with a Ryoma/Roy account, same thing with all the Azuras i got. i do have a Hinoka/Jeorge/Roy/Eirika/Tiki/Fae/Nowi/Elise alt (after spending most of the free orbs, mind you) that i choose not to play much in favor of Linde/Takumi/Camilla/Lucina/Eirika/Lyn/Chrom/Elise.

so weird that i got all the loli dragons on one account. Nowi is only 4*, but i just got 20k feathers and i'm not sure who else i'd use them on.

I got some special animation after summoning and it gave me Robin. Any significance to it or is it just a Robin only thing?
