Arkham Asylum. I've replayed City but I hadn't replayed Asylum and it holds up. 100%'ed it this time, and it's a fun game to 100%. Only had to look up one of the riddles.

It's an excellent story about depression and life but a rather repetitive game to be honest. It's not really like Oxenfree though.

The wit is still there. That said, I really wanted to get interested in the plot seeing as Lovecraftian horror was being parodied and played with but it just sort of tries to be aimlessly varied instead of focusing on an ever-looming and escalating threat. The ante is upped every episode, but they make little to no connection from each other unlike before. Supporting characters from the previous seasons show up, but have lost their quirks and running gags in favor of new but unfortunately terribly boring personalities. And for some reason, they got an extra level of jerk to them. Lovable characters I would have loved to see again (like Bosco) simply don't show up. A new feature in the Devil's Playhouse are these psychic demonic toys, that Max acquires over the course of the game and include a variety of powers you have access to such as Astral Projection, Clairevoyance, Mind Control, etc. Really shook things up and made things entertaining for awhile (using Clairevoyance on every object was refreshing). But this also made some of the puzzles a little too obtuse at times. It's okay overall. But a good game if you're a fan of Sam and Max --- It's not so cliche anymore when it's happening to you. ...
