Bad people are everyone, you have to enjoy the good ones you meet. If you waste your time worrying about what certain people here think it will be hard to enjoy any interactions with the ones that are actually nice.

I'd say that the Nio/GMUN combo is the most guilty of this, but I don't think I've ever seen Ryoko or any non-metroid composite female post in a topic and not get some responses.

I'm too lazy to read this whole topic, but I will just say that I agree with you.

I will also say that I liked you more than some of the more popular users here. Yeah, I disagreed with you on a lot of stuff, and some of your posts just left me confused. Still, you're one of the few Board 8ers that would speak your mind without concern of what others would say. You certainly have my respect.

We've never really talked, but still, I wish you good luck on whatever it is you do and wherever else you go.

As fate would have it, Metroid Composite is by far the girl whose posts are most worth reading.

...Anyway, while there IS "circlejerking" and there ARE a great number of people being hostile towards others for no good reason, the board is not so bad, as long as you don't expect too much from it. And once you get to know the people here somewhat, you won't expect much. Most people just don't care enough, and nor should they. It's just a gaming message board on the internet.

I agree with Ayuyu, with the exception of a few remaining bastions of niceness, the board is pretty much downright unfriendly and unwelcoming. Just look at how we treat new users. I'm pretty much only here for the Homestuck topics now, without those I would basically leave the board. There's just no reason to stay here since it's so closed off and, well, mean. So have a nice time away from the board, Ayuyu. You could be pretty annoying sometimes (and downright odd at other times) but I liked you. You did not deserve the treatment you got from the people in this place.

well things are sucking right now because the judge I work for died yesterday. he came to work yesterday as usual, seemed perfectly fine. he was editing a draft with one of the other clerks, telling her that he needed to finish up quickly because he had lunch in 20 minutes with the other judges, etc. then he suddenly clutched his chest and went unresponsive. she called 911 but it was too late.
