IIRC the ground/landmaster sections of Starfox Assault were plenty arcadey in a way similar to regular Starfox.

literally all I am saying is that I hope we can still get a classic star fox as well. saying "open world sounds terrible for star fox" doesn't mean I think it would be a terrible game, I just meant it wouldn't be like a real star fox because that's fundamentally against what star fox is. it would be something different - which is fine - but I don't want classic SF to die off and SF isn't something Ninty has been paying any attention to I'm not saying "don't do this". Define "classic Star Fox game". It was very similar to the unreleased Star Fox 2, which was, itself, entirely different from the original Star Fox.
