1. New starting place - Hiougi City. 2. New town northeast of Hiougi City. 3. Building on the island next to Liberty Garden. 4. New city beneath Driftveil City. 5. Cold Storage seems to be gone. 6. Empty space next to Driftveil Gym. 7. Galvantula web no longer blocking the entrance to Chargestone Cave. 8. Route 4's road is now fully constructed. 9. The Extralink forest seems to be different. 10. Challenger's Cave is gone. 11. New area north of the Poke Transfer Lab.
Also, not marked in the maps, the Driftveil Lighthouse is gone.
In Pokemon world the poor guy in Vermillion can't finish a house in 2 years, but another region has whole towns pop up in 2 years. I guess Kanto has a bad economy.
From: Mewtwo59 | #056 #3 is the Unity Tower. I guess it wasn't on the first map because they were trying to hide it before B/W were released internationally.
tyder21 posted... I kind of just wanted ONE new Pokemon. 650 is such a better number than 649.
My initial thought was that "650" was supposed to be the original form of Resharim and Zekrom (and possibly Kyurem?) fused together which would be on par with Arceus, but with the new Kyurem forms I doubt that's accurate.

Wha? Hoenn was awesome. The only bad part was too much open water to explore and the nonsense that is Dive.
Is it confirmed yet that this will use the same starters as B/W? I guess I expect it to, but I wouldn't mind them throwing us a curveball and just making us all start with Psyduck.

Well, that is pretty much the reason most people disliked Hoenn. IMO, the ideal region would have one water route, no diving, and no dark caves.

One of the battle scenes shows Serperior fighting Black/White Kyurem. Doesn't necessarily mean anything, but they're most likely still the same starters.

No confirmations, but they are adding other region pokemon to the Unova Pokedex. I could see something like Hoenn starters as an option. I think it would be cool to, say, start with Mudkip and have my rival start with Snivy.
Nice little changes. I like how much attention to detail they put into the map, heh
Also I loved dive in RSE. Apart from the whole "HOW ARE YOU BREATHING?!?!" thing, I thought it was a lot of fun. Added a little bit of extra exploration and I liked using it to get into Sootopolis (Sootopolis is one of my favourite Pokemon cities).

2 years seems kind of low for a bunch of new gym leaders and cities and....an apparent apocalyptic event that froze parts of Unova (maybe that's just a creative way to hide the map, though). Trainer designs are also kind of lame. They look extremely similar to the ones in B/W, almost like they're supposed to be their kids or something (but again, 2 years makes that impossible).
It might be cool. For sure it's better than just another third version.

I would assume Kyurem froze things over and we are talking about a world where Pokemon could do all the work building cities. Get a few Conkledurr together and you could raise a town in a month or so.
All those "frozen" parts on the map just look like magazine graphic to me. I mean, look at how it overlaps the Skyarrow Bridge. If the bridge was really partly frozen, I think it would have been drawn with a different angle.

The new main characters look better than last time too which is nice. I'm looking forward to seeing more. I really hope B/W2 is just as amazing as B/W.
I hope Bianca is still in the game too. I'll be disappointed if she's not. I hope she becomes the strongest trainer the series has ever had just so people will quit hating on her.

Yeah, that seems to be the current speculation. It's not unprecedented, either. They blocked previous maps with clouds. Plus, looking at the map, these games don't even have a spot for the Pokemon League if everything is indeed frozen over.

I'd lol if the monkeys were the starters.

That would only make me hate on her 10x more. What a bland, boring character.

What options? Both characters are always exactly the same. They just act as avatars. It's really dumb to actually go "select" either character rather than just picking your own gender since there's absolutely no difference.

That's called "Uncomfortable in your own masculinity", right?

There's always hope for better things in life. But you can't let anything, friend, lover, God himself, be your hope. You have to be your own hope.
