That's a mini-game for every 5.5 minutes of play. In Mario Party 7 (which, I admit, is the worst game in the series for how long it takes to move on the board) a 15 turn game would take 90+ minutes, which is at best a mini-game for every 6 minutes of play. I guess you could have games where you don't happen to land on the mini-game spaces, but then the game would take less time so you're probably getting roughly the same amount of games in relation to the time you spent on it. I'm just happy it looks like a Mario Party where they were willing to try something new and it looks like the mini-games are decent. It's a pretty common and well agreed upon complaint about the game! To be fair, Mario Party WAS getting incredibly stale with all the renditions that were pretty much the exact same thing each release. But really, the problem was that they were just releasing too god damn many Mario Parties. I like my Mario Party the classic gimmick-free way, but there became a point where I just didn't feel the need to keep buying the same damn game.
