I felt the exact opposite, absolute worst Mario Party to date. When you can go through an entire Mario Party board only playing 2-4 minigames, something is VERY wrong. And it doesn't help that the actual board-play is significantly worse.

Ehh, looking at the video Gen posted, looks like they played 9 mini-games in their game of Toad Road and it took ~50 minutes (and that's with them talking to each other and generally playing at a slower than average pace). That's a mini-game for every 5.5 minutes of play.

In Mario Party 7 (which, I admit, is the worst game in the series for how long it takes to move on the board) a 15 turn game would take 90+ minutes, which is at best a mini-game for every 6 minutes of play.

I guess you could have games where you don't happen to land on the mini-game spaces, but then the game would take less time so you're probably getting roughly the same amount of games in relation to the time you spent on it.

I'm just happy it looks like a Mario Party where they were willing to try something new and it looks like the mini-games are decent. Not to mention they're all unlocked from the start so you don't need to play the board mode constantly praying you randomly get the last few you need to unlock everything.
