I haven't even gotten far in the game, I've been replaying chapters a lot to beat challenges and such...

Haha same. I've only done 6 chapters so far. I keep replaying them on higher intensities. I'm also pretty hooked on fusing weapons. After every chapter playthrough, I spend like 20 minutes buying new weapons, fusing them together, and playing power up Tetris.

used my $15 credit on another 3DS, knocking the price down to $85 after the mail in rebate. Gonna give it to my nephew on his birthday... Which isn't until July, but hey, $85 3DS.

I've only replayed 1 on a higher intensity; haven't had much of a chance to play the game since getting it though due to debate nationals/copious amounts of alcohol. I've ended up just playing through each level in order mostly; I'm fighting the boss of the 8th level now. Such a ridiculously beautiful looking level and aesthetically well designed boss. I'm may be looking too far into it as someone with a lot of complaints about Skyward Sword, but I definitely feel like some of the dialogue right before the boss takes a bit of a dig at a certain part of Skyward Sword.

Also, level 6 has some god damn amazing music.

Don't hold off man, it's worth it. Even better if your roommate has a copy I say; then you can play locally with em, trade weapons through streetpass, etc.

I wasn't hugely into it at first, but as I've increasingly had the chance to sit down spend large amounts of time with it it's steadily been climbing up my list of favorite games. Single player is an impressively long experience, most levels lasting 15 minutes easily, and there are plenty of levels. Not to mention that each individual single player level is pretty much infinitely replayable thanks to the difficulty system, and the fact that there are 9 different types of weapons, and tons of weapons within each type that each have their own unique qualities that give them advantages/disadvantages within that weapon type. And though you'll certainly have a favorite weapon, each is very viable, similar to Bastion. Plus, each weapon can have up to 6 enchantments. And for more customization, you have a Mega Man Battle Network Navi Customizer-esque block to give Pit powers. Plus, to match the obvious Brawl menu interface, it has the Kirby Air Ride/Brawl checklist and a s***ton of unlockables between various weapons and "idols," aka trophies.

Oh, and multiplayer is amazing too; it can be a bit button-mashy and luck based at times in FFA since you nearly exclusively get points based on getting kills and don't know when someone's going to have an enchantment or power, but it's very fast paced and fun and I've seen very little lag. I think it's also a testament to skill mattering that I've won 14/17 of my Light vs. Dark matches with completely random teammates and enemies. They do a fairly good job of ensuring equality by making it so that people with high value weapons are worth a lot more points to kill than low level people. Plus, you do get hearts and weapons/enchantments for just playing multiplayer; I don't think winning actually ever guarantees you any additional reward, so you can gear out your Pit solely by playing multiplayer if you want.

Man, when the multiplayer in Uprising is on it is on. Sometimes you get some teleporting 28.8 time traveler who can neither hit nor be hit, but when everyone is reasonably synced up it is great. I hope it has some legs.

kid icarus is just so goddamn addicting. so far i've been trying out most every weapon i can get and the main weapon type i seem to enjoy the most are claws and bows. swords are good too but not as good as either of those. so damn FAST and strong that it's crazy.

Same, I've been stuck on the Beam Claws for a while. I had a good Great Reaper Palm but its shots were far too slow, and the Drill Arm that I fused it into is pretty good. My only complaint with the game so far it ends up hurting to play after a short while. >_< Not the best game for carpal tunnel.

Today I discovered that clubs are ridiculous in the hands of an angel. I become Dark Pit and just started lobbing charged shots at the other team and pretty much one-hit anyone unfortunate enough to get caught in the blast. Then I bounced a charge shot off a reflector and damn near killed myself. Oops.

waiiiit, only 3/3? Dear god man, upgrade those! Unless you have serious enchantments making up for the low stars, that is. I've got a 5/5 Drill Arm (300 val) and 5/4.5 Beam Claws (277). No ridiculous +4 Speed enchants or anything like I have on my 3/2 Needle Palm (281); they're all +1/2 enchants, but they're still damn good weapons with solid all-around damage.

personally i refuse to upgrade unless i can get the ones i want over.

just so happens that my claws have a +4 speed, so... yeah. literally circled that tank in the first stage on a 7+ rank and beat his ass in hard.


still gotta get used to fielding lightweight with it. dat speed.

God I wish I had +4 speed on my claws. I'm not willing to settle for low stars at this point... which means I get s*** enchants since those balance out the value. Almost everything I was trying to fuse this 5/0, 298 value Viper Blade with was getting stuck with its -2 speed until I went low enough to find a fusion to get a 267 staff w/ +3 burning, +2 shot range, and +2 evasion, all with 6/0. Unfortunately, all that shot range and the 6 star range power isn't enough to overcome the fact that it's a Knuckle Staff. -_-

well i had to hold out for it, just enough tries. thing is... i had a couple choices. one of them was getting a 0/6 range/melee weapon.

problem is it was a hawkeye bow. was sooo tempted but realized that there was no point in that. 4 star claws, +4 speed. hells yeah. trying to see how i can make other weapons mix and match the way i want but it's pretty rough.
