Really looking forward to Kid Icarus. I was moderately interested in the game until the Nintendo Direct press conference - the on rail missions look chaotic and the multiplayer looks like a blast. Guess it's not surprising how much stuff is packed into the game given how long it's been in development.

Alright, as long as the battle system's good. I can deal with the endless cutscenes and random field conversations between your team (whatever those things were called in ToS), even if the characters are a bit worse, as long as it's on a handheld. Having Symphonia-style battle or even just Phantasia-style battle pulled off right for a handheld though would be great. As flawed as the battle system in ToS could be, that style of RPG battle is honestly just so fun outside of stupid enemies that resist your character's main element and/or fly.

I haven't really gotten far into Phantasia so I can't comment on that.

I prefer Symphonia to Abyss, but I'd say they're pretty close in quality. I prefer Symphonia's cast and story and such, though Abyss has an edge in gameplay with Free Run and mystic artes.

Tales of the Abyss's character were a lot more fleshed out than Symphonia's. And the battle system is MUCH better.

I preferred TotA greatly but your mileage may vary.

Luke does become a cool guy, but to me it still doesn't make up for how terrible he is for the first half of the game.

Lloyd's isn't great or anything, but he's never been terrible, so he's better in my books.


Vesperia's the only one that actually has an awesome hero.

screw it I'll just post the rumours

-Beat The Beat: Rhythm Paradise to be released June 8 2012. Will be budget priced.
-Diddy Kong Racing Sequel. Will be available within the Wii-U launch window.
-Yoshi's Island Sequel. Will also be available within the Wii-U launch window, to be released within a month of the Diddy Kong Racing sequel; Unknown if before or after. Developed by Goodfeel.
-Pikmin 3 to be a launch Wii-U game.
-Donkey Kong 64 3D. TBC 2012.
-Luigi's Mansion 2 will be renamed Luigi's Mansion Busters. Will be released Fall 2012.
-Paper Mario will be named Paper Mario & The Third Dimension. Fall 2012.
-Super Smash Bros. Wii-U(TBC) will be announced proper at E3, but is not planned for 2012 release.
-2D Mario is New Super Mario Bros. 3D. Fall 2012.
-Fire Emblem: Awakening still TBA 2012, but most likely Fall or Winter.

Yeah, I noticed that back when the system launched and I was still playing Okamiden.

I mean yeah, the game doesn't suddenly detect analog input, but it just feels so much better with it.

Agreed. The DS port was terrible. They just...ruined the original in so many ways. A sequel to the original would be great as long as they don't mess it up.
