That was, without question, one of the most epic hours of entertainment I have experienced in my entire life! So many feelings and emotions, I need time to process...

That was unquestionably worth staying up until 4:00AM for, but it is now well and truly time for me to get some sleep. I may post a more in-depth writeup in the morning... unless I'm too lazy... nah, I'll definitely write something.

This was AWESOME.

Finale *sniff* watched. All of them are planning the wedding huh. Ahh the brother. It was an obvious abbreviation. Whoa, song already? Wait, that's it? But liked that song! Also, was Shining Armor mentioned before? You'd think a BBBFF wouldn't be kept in the dark. Twilight is not amused by that abbreviation. Oh, neat, the 3 types are grouped together. Force Field? Where was this guy when Nightmare Moon and Discord struck? Foal what? Oh, babysitter. Well, that's a complete 180. Totally the threat. Gotta love Celestia on her telescopes. Why am I getting Trixie vibes? Man I hope it's not her. Luna time! Oh lord Twilight at the table. Sad face. Reprise! DID SHE JUST MELT- well obviously not, but still.

I'm liking her as a villain. There she is! Another song... hmm, I like the BBBFF song more. XD Twilight pushing and Cadence lounging around and singing. Oh, yeah, princess, Alicorn. Why are the CMC here? Well, Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom I can see why (Nepotism), but Scootaloo? lol the bouquet. BEAST BOY! I mean, Queen of the Changelings. Hey, where'd Celestia go? There she is, jobbing as always. Good ol' Rarity. Twilight gun! Party cannon! XD Fluttershy. Love that fight scene. Huh, reminds me of Alesteir Crowley from Index. Another reprise. Huh, this the first time a big bad wasn't beaten by Twilight and co.? Oh, yeah, forgot about Twilight's and Shining's parents. The CMC being here still bugs me a bit. Heh, she still wants the Princess title. Poor Luna, missing all the excitement. Was that the tune from Winter Wrap Up? Oh new song. Liked it. lol Rarity. Little late there Spike!

I love this season finale. The songs were great, it was a fitting story to end the season, entertaining all around! Heck, we even get an evil empire from the Changelings.

F***, "deceptive cadence" is one of those puns that's so good I wish I thought of it first. Oh well. (I don't think this is an intentional joke on the composer's part by the way, deceptive cadences are common in music and he didn't even use them during the villain's theme.)

I didn't really like this episode much, the episodes that are all disney movie plot and song numbers with flavor-of-the-week villains don't really do it for me (except Discord who is great), it just isn't what I like about FiM. I think this episode would've been funnier if the plot was "Twilight ruins the wedding after becoming paranoid about a completely imagined evil plot against her brother", but that would've been a completely different episode. Villain was lame and didn't really introduce any real tension to the plot despite their desperate attempts to introduce real tension to the plot, but at least she did have a cool design.

Not a really bad episode, just not my thing. Like I said, I think if you take the villain out but leave Twilight's neuroticism in I would've been more entertained.

My opinion was basically that it was awesome but I hope they never do anything like it again.

The biggest thing I want from FiM's third season is for Celestia to do something and be effective. Yes, the Changeling Queen was supercharged because she was leeching off of Cadence and Shining Armor for so long, but still.

The deceptive cadence thing was actually confirmed to be an intentional pun by Daniel Ingram on his Twitter.

And I thought they really didn't do anything wrong with the villain except make her reveal herself and her plans too early and fail to give her a proper confrontation. She just kinda looks away and lets obvious deus ex machina happen literally behind her back. Same thing that happened to Discord. At least Nightmare Moon had some kind of confrontation with Twilight before she got plot magicked.

Crystalis at least had some confrontation with Celestia, and there was the big fight with all the changelings, so it didn't feel as totally rushed as Discord, where he just sat there and let them one-shot him.

First, it's a wet smacking sound... it's definitely not an appropriate sound effect for just picking someone up.

And second, it doesn't play until after Fluttershy is already off the ground. It starts at either the exact frame where Dash makes contact with Fluttershy's nose or the frame after, kinda hard to tell.

First, it's a wet smacking sound... it's definitely not an appropriate sound effect for just picking someone up.

I mean, I disagree with this. But if you think kissing is the most logical scenario then who am I to stop you?

As for your second statement, the sound effect play length must have not been enough to fill the entire pick-up animation. So the person doing the sound opted to have the effect end at the end of the animation while starting in the middle as opposed to starting the sound at the beginning and having it end in the middle.

Super-adorable Leona pony reminding me that I've had LoL sitting on my desktop for months and haven't played a single game.
