There are two(to my knowledge) Fire Emblem games for the GBA that came out in the states. Fire Emblem 7 is just listed as "Fire Emblem", and you already have the other one "The Sacred Stones".

Edit: Also yeah Nook, Tale of Phantasia isn't all that great. And I ****ing love Tales of Symphonia.

American Fire Emblem is just called "Fire Emblem". You have Sacred Stones but not the first, unsubtitled one.

Mega Man Zero games are good, but just get Mega Man Zero Collection for the DS if you're interested, don't bother with the individual games on GBA.

Mega Man Zero games are awesome.

My second-favorite MM series, the first being BN. >_>

The MMBN and Pokemon are probably best for that if you're into collecting stuff. I know I capped the timer on MMBN 2 and 3.

I've heard awesome things about Monster Rancher but know nothing about them. They similar to Pokemon? And is Battle Network more of a platformer or RPG or what?

Monster Rancher is not really similar to Pokemon at all besides the fact that you own a monster and make it fight.

You take care of one monster at a time, and raise it week-to-week, training it with exercise, feeding it, battling when there are available tournaments, combining monsters to create new hybrids and stuff. It's a lot more difficult than Pokemon.

Astro Boy is easily my favorite GBA game. Please get it.

Check out Warioware Twisted as well. And Mega Man Zero 2/4 are quite good, but yeah, get the DS collection if you can.

Tales of Phantasia isn't bad, it's just the GBA version that sucks. That's the only one released in the US, though.

Tales of Phantasia GBA is god awful.

^The only good part of the game.

The MMBN series, however, is mostly fantastic. 1 and 4 are awful, and 5 is meh, but 2, 3 and 6 are all well worth playing.

Zone of the Enders: Fist of Mars
Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation
Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation 2
Astro Boy: Omega Factor
Metroid: Zero Mission


in that order. hell, OG2 is better than OG1, but it really does benefit a LOT from playing the 1st game. both are some of the best games handhelds have ever had so check them both out. ZOE's worth it for the music and story. gameplay do yourself a favor and turn off that system. unless you want easy mode, in which case just circle. even a 0% will become a 100% to hit, and a 100% will become a 0 to get hit.


Boktai aren't the best choices to list due to the constant need of a proper light source. if you're emulating then you can probably get a patch for it, but if you're actually intending to buy these/play legitimate copies then.... don't take 'em.

also ignore his middle Fire Emblem, we never got that. but if you're emulating, don't. fantranslation exists. ignore Golden Sun. ignore Saiban because PW on the DS exists. ignore Harvest Moon because it's really not good. Mother 3 is also a fantranslation case. Sigma Star Saga is... really not that good either. no to Suikoden Card Stories. no to Sword of Mana. NO to Tales of Phantasia. and lastly, Tactics Ogre: Knight of Lodis isn't a good choice unless you're a fan of the series. it's not a BAD game, but there's little balance to the gameplay (a team of Knights, a class you get almost immediately, can solo the game), it's pretty easy, and battles WILL take forever. but it does make some nice plot stuff if you're familiar with the rest of the series.

DO include the other Mega Man Zero games. 1-4 are all well worth playing, but as mentioned by someone else, if you have a DS consider the collection there instead. same for Riveria and Yggra Union if you've got a PSP (the big chance for the second btw drak is that your unit's health will restore naturally as you progress through the game).

That actually was named earlier, but I'm glad a few people actually like that game... I'm still in the stage of **** Rouge's level.

Anyway, if I recommend any, I'll say:

Final Fantasy 4
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance
Megaman BN- 1-3 are the betters and it kinda drops downhill at 4, but 5 and 6 are somewhat good IMO. Although I haven't really gotten anywhere in 6... If I give a suggestion, play 1 before anything else otherwise some stuff will be wacky.
