More importantly, they describe a completely different kind of geek. "Play with phone at restaurants" is actually no longer the dominion of the geek, anyway. A teenage girl is far more likely to be f***ing around on her phone at restaurants nowadays than actual geeks. A lot of the geeks I know actually don't even bother with technology when they leave the house, because they have enough of that at home and at work.

There's no way I'd want to work on the Starship Enterprise. The kind of training required for any position on the ship would be intense, you'd be on a f***ing spaceship in space all of the time away from your home civilization, and you're probably going to die. No thanks!
