27. Spiritomb
It's got exactly the same gimmick as Sableye (NO NATURAL WEAKNESSES), only with better stats aside from Speed and probably sees more competitive use if it's not banned. Don't feel like looking up if it is or not. Point is, poo on you Spiritomb.

Spiritomb is nowhere near ban potential. Outclassed by a bunch of stuff. And yeah before this gen, Spiritomb definitely got more use but I don't think that's the case anymore.

Hun, I am so tired and tipsy right now the full story will have to wait until I wake up.

Nutshell version:
-WhirlyBird319 almost singlehandedly ruins a Save My contest by anti-rallying Litwick, causing Litwick bandwagoners to enter topics by the wagon-full and vote for the pokémon that would've been eliminated 40 rounds earlier if not for a discrepancies caused by an edited save.

Alright, story time!

Once upon a time, My Immortal decided to host a Save My contest. Why? Because by the time ChichiriMuyo finished his Save My Pokémon Contest encompassing Gens1-4, a brand new generation of pokémon had been released: the fifth generation, Black/White. But what was Gen5's most beloved pokémon on B8 like four people wondered. We would never find out without a Save My contest, and so it began.

Things went swimmingly for the first 80 rounds or so. Some bad eliminations happened a bit early, but nothing drastic unless you are named XIII_rocks and decide to take a vacation and then rage when your favorite Gen5 pokémon is axed because you aren't around to save it. And then one fateful day, as one round wound to its conclusion, xx521xx cast a vote for Whimsicott seconds early and decided to edit it instead of posting again. By the time he went into Message Detail, hit Edit and Post it was too late... Some bastard had already saved Litwick. The timestamps did nothing to help, as 521's edit nulled any possibility of telling onlookers who was fastest.

We could've been done with the nightmare right there by eliminating both, but we all decided a Tiebreaking vote-off was the better option. Effin' Litwick won by two or three, and as Whimsicott made its unfortunate exodus at fifty-somethingth place the horrors began. Litwick survived round after round for the next 30-40 rounds, always being saved near the end over things much better than it. Example: Zekrom got like 40th place. Guess what stupid candle made top 20. Anyway, after Litwick survived maybe 15 rounds in a row, Whirly began to take note of this and complain. And complain... And complain.

Finally, after Litwick was leading in total votes over one of his own personal favorites Emolga, Whirlz lost it. "Why does something like Litwick have 7 votes? Emolga should have 7 votes instead" said he, and then chaos! From every corner emerged the trolls and bandwagoners- people getting their jollies off of saving Litwick to annoy Whirly to prompt him to whine, and Whirly was (un)happy to supply them with exactly what they wanted. We (the anti-Litwick legion) urged him to shut the hell up, but to no avail. T'was a lost cause...

The last straw was when Whirly saved Litwick in some kind of pathetic effort to make the Litwick Lovers think he was no longer phased by it. They easily saw right through the idiotic ploy and saved it anyway. The anti-Litwick Legion successfully ran him off the board for... one week. I think Litwick was gone by the time he returned, but Whirly kept being Whirly. Also there was a somewhat related YouTube video that surfaced around the time of his return. But that's a story for another time...

And everyone except Whirly lived happily ever after. The End.

You know, I never actually drink until I'm straight wasted. I always stop when I get fairly tipsy. Not always by choice either. It's like my body has a natural inhibitor that stops me from drinking when it's had enough by making me feel groggy.

If Game Freak could actually change base stats of Pokemon we wouldn't have all these fugly evolutions. =/

The reason for giving some Pokemon evolutions is to try to make them relevant again. Which makes pre-evos even more stupid than they already are. But seriously that new ability is pretty godlike. I honestly didn't even know about it until not so long ago because I never run into Sableye. Ability can only take you so far when you have those kinds of garbage stats but in case people don't know, the ability gives non-attacking moves +1 priority. O_o <-- mfw I read that

Day 15: Fire Type

Fire types are marked by exceptionally high stats in both physical and special Attack, and low physical and special Defense and HP, which gives them the power to dish it out, but makes them pretty bad at taking it in. They're glass cannons if you will. That makes them pretty risky to use, especially since the types they're weak to are all common and the types they're strong against are all rare aside from Steel in the competitive scene. Still, there are not a lot of Fire types I dislike, and only two I hate. Also most of the design are totally b****in'! The fire motif never seems to get old.

5. Camerupt


It's a camel with tiny volcanoes for humps. The concept alone should make it a top ten pokémon on everyone's lists as far as I'm concerned. Oh, and its shiny form's coloration is SO badass. Black and yellow, black and yellow, black and yellow.

4. Chandelure


Yep. Pretty much the reason it didn't appear on my Ghost list is because I already had mind to put it here. So to all the little babies crying about the lack of Chandelure, you can feel free to take your little complaints and shove them right up your diapers. Lampent > Chandelure in design, but Chandy's no uggo either. Plus stats. B****in.

3. Vulpix

If looks could kill, this lil' lady (25% chance it's actually a lil' man) could be the resident assassin of the pokémon world. Vulpix is the cutest Fire type. Hands down. Nothing else is even close. Non-debatable. Get that Charmander, Flareon, and Cyndaquil the hell away from here. Like I said, not even close.

2. Quilava



So awesome. Quilava doesn't get enough love imo (something that afflicts most middies) even though it still gets more love than a lot of its second form companions. It's the peak of its line design-wise to be quite honest. It's pretty damn adorable and yet it looks like it could f*** ya up at the same time. Only thing I'd fault it with is having a stupid anime voice. Like, really stupid but I try to ignore that...

Yeah if you know me at all, this one shouldn't have come as a surprise. Arcanine is... the ultimate in adorable fluffiness but is also quite formidable. I don't really feel like a writeup from me can justify its worth, so I'm not even gonna try. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Honorable Mention: Ninetales I do believe Fire contains the highest amount of Gen1 favorites for me, as Ninetales steals this HM from yet another Gen1 Fire type: Rapidash. What's with people spelling her name wrong? Yes, GF was dumb to intentionally misspell it but dammit, it's been five generations people!

44. Torkoal


Oh my goodness this guy looks silly. Like, I can't take it seriously at all when I look at it, which is a shame because it's one of the few Fire types with legit defensive capabilities. Good thing it can take a hit, because with its pitiful Speed stat, it's bound to take quite a few. Also adding to the dislike, Ash's Torkoal is the single worst thing he's ever caught. It was pathetic and had a dumb voice. Oak it foreverrrrr!

45. Combusken


I dunno, I've never liked Combusken. Actually I don't like the Torchic line much at all, but Blaziken is definitely the highpoint and the low point is not Torchic. Also... CHICKENS DO NOT HAVE TEETH! I couldn't find a screenshot showing it, but Combusken having teeth is a canon fact. Just ask Anagram.

46. Magmar


It boggles my mind when certain people say Gen1 doesn't have a single pokémon they dislike. I mean... this guy existed in Gen1 and he has an ass on his face. This fat derp-faced duck/dinosaur thing has a combination forehead/eyebrow bridge that is literally an ass. Those are two booty cheeks on fire as far as I'm concerned. Some people seem to think Magmortar ruined the line, but imo the line was ruined from conception. However as bad as Magmar is, it's not worse than...

47. Magby


I really don't like looking at this thing. I mean, Smoochum is adorable and Elekid and Pichu have their charm, but wow this lil' guy was a bad idea. It's nowhere near Tyrogue or Igglybuff levels of bad, but as far as Fire types go it is definitely bottom of the barrel. Also, it somehow has more booties on top of its head than its evo. Booty, booty, booty, booty rock it everywhere.

48. Magmortar


It's like everything that went right with Electivire went wrong tenfold with Magmortar. Okay, not everything. Having cannons for arms is pretty badass I'm forced to admit, but even CANNON ARMS!! can't save Magmortar from looking stupid as hell. Of course, given the pokémon they had to base his design around, this was inevitable. Well... at least they got rid of the ass-face. Nah, who am I kidding it still looks like ass.

Dishonorable Mention: Slugma Heatran prolly would've gone here again if I wasn't so hellbent on the no-repeats clause (yes it applies to Bottom 5ers and DMs as well). I don't dislike Slugma (unlike everything in my bottom 5 which I do dislike- make no mistake about that), but it is pretty damn bland compared to many other Fire types. As much as I hate to admit it, I do kind of like Sunny Castform more than Slugma.

*As much as I hate to admit it, Gen1 really does do Fire types the best. Gen5 comes close with greatness like Chandelure, Volcarona, and Darmanitan, but these guys can't hope to compete with the titans that are Charizard, Ninetales, and Arcafrigginine. Gens2 and 3 really neglected the Fire type completely and Gen4 bombed totally with almost every one it added, but Gen1 is just special. I just think... Gen1 does it right. Sure Flareon has no moves, Moltres is a flaming rubber chicken, and lolMagmar exists, but dammit Gen1 exemplifies Fire type at peak perfection despite all this. Plus it's not like every other generation doesn't have their duds.*
