Looks like the Fairy Tail anime will wrap this arc up in about 2 episodes. After that there will be a bit of filler that even includes some Rave Master cameos. The filler probably won't last long and I'm looking forward to seeing the current manga arc animated.

I imagine by the time the tournament finishes the anime will start animating the arc. At the very least I don't think we'll be getting 6 months of filler or anything.

Both pretty good chapters. Can't wait for Orochimaru to pop out of Kabuto /wishfulthinking.

Though I do want see what Kabuto can do. He has to have something up his sleeve for being so cocky.

This HxH run only lasted 30 chapters. Togashi has only put out somewhere around 1 year of chapters in the last 3-4 years now. So much for starting HxH back up. I might as well wait.

Still isn't very good for it.

Watched through that Daphne arc of Fairy Tail today. That actually wasn't too bad, though nowhere near the canon stuff of course. That sakura episode was pretty funny too. Now Wendy is out on her first big mission, along with Happy and Freed, and Happy and Erza decided to follow them.

One more episode and I'm at the point when the first OVA aired according to the wikia, so I'll watch that today too.

I don't see any downside

the volumes will always sell like crazy and it's never going to rank well because people know it won't get canned

it's much better for Togashi to go on extended hiatuses and get higher quality later than for it to suffer through periods when he just doesn't feel like writing it

I don't even know why his art suffers like it did in these recent chapters anyways.

He should just create finished volumes first and then release the chapters in the magazine before they come out.

Cliffhangers are quite expected in such siturations though.

Apparently Wendy's first big mission and this race were both filler episodes. They were alright I guess. The finish of the race could've easily been made better though, because the four should've just passed the line.
