So now it makes much more sense why Jellal couldn't even remember Wendy the slightest and how he was suddenly not in the Tower of Heavens for that matter, it was Mystogan! But why the hell did he call himself Jellal then?

Now everyone got sucked into a hole in the sky along with the guild, except Natsu and Wendy because they're dragon slayers. That means Gajeel must still be around here too right.

Reanimated scenes are awesome. Much surperior to when they just put a background on to fill the rest of the screen, like they did with the Laboon flashback.

So as expected Gajeel due to being a dragon slayer survived. Lucy also survived because of her clock-spirit. Mystogan did too, his knowledge of this Anima is probably the reason. Well he sent both Gajeel and Lucy there. It looks like magic being liminted doesn't work with spirits.

The whole show might as well be filler. The main dragon storyline is just starting. The guild right now is literally the same as when the manga started.

They're only 21 chapters behind though! 1-2 episodes of filler isn't going to fix anything o_o


Naruto's like 70 chapters behind and they still do huge filler arcs here and then

Speaking of Fairy Tail OVAs, I just watched the second, at least just as hillarious as the first, though the first seemed to have a main focus on fan service, which it also did incredibly well.

Speaking of Edolas, time to continue that arc!

Naruto is still many times better than FT.

I have written a massive Naruto fanfic and I don't see how Naruto is better than FT at all!

Naruto has a lot of huge problems and while I still enjoy reading the manga it can't really compare to the sense of adventure of FT.

Naruto has some pretty cool payoffs but as Naruto winds down I can say it has gotten away from a lot of the cool things it used to do.

When I say such things, you're supposed to think of it as a compliment to Fairy Tail, and not anything against Naruto. In fact, it's an unfair matchup in the first since watching Naruto is not entirely new. That said, I probably like Fairy Tail the most.

To be fair my Naruto story doesn't have much to do with Naruto if you ever read it!

I should read Chris' story at some point when I'm caught up on Naruto.

I don't feel a sense of adventure from FT. It's all just huge self contained arcs. All the characters are one dimensional. There are no ups and downs, it's merely just average.

Naruto may have really terrible arcs, but it also have some really good ones. I can at least say the Naruto from chapter 1 is a very different guy than the one we have now.

There's a difference between running gags, and actual character development. For instance, you think the guild has good chemistry right? Well sure if you call the usual at the end of the arc bar party "chemistry". It's always the same thing. Natsu and Grey gets into fight/contest, Lucy and Happy sitting somewhere nearby laughing at them.

Let's not even bring up the formulatic arc structure. New guild introduced > overpower FT > mock Natsu > Natsu shows angry face > FT prevails in a rematch > Natsu with resolve powerup defeats arc villain.
