From: Lopen | #248 And uh yeah I guess you think Truth/Ziggler is obvious then that speaks even worse for the product.
Keep in mind I'm talking clean wins here, though. I don't think Ziggler beats Truth cleanly very easily (keep in mind by clean I mean just not a DQ or count-out or by interference whatever-- cheating's fine though). I give Ziggler better odds of winning by DQ or something but in a straight no shenanigans match I think Truth and Ziggler are about equal on the power levels right now.
I'm just thinking that Truth hasn't really done anything but beat Miz once, and that isn't hugely impressive. Ziggler is at least having competitive, long matches with the Cena/Orton/Punk tier guys and has been for months, I'd put repeatedly taking Cena and Orton 15 minutes to overcome (and be able to beat them if they look away for a few seconds) over a victory over Miz, who has kind of sucked since pretty much the moment his match with Cena on the Raw after Wrestlemania ended.

From: Lopen | #237 Beth Phoenix Everyone Else, Bellas in a tag match Bellas individually Natalya
I don't know. I think I'd put Tamina in her own tier right below Beth Phoenix. And I'm not sure the Bellas individually aren't just part of the everyone else tier thanks to Twin Magic. Unless by individually you meant "Not accompanied by the other Bella," in which case yeah, that's probably about right.

Truth's had competitive matches with Cena in the last year, and Awesome Truth beat Punk and Triple H recently I think? *shrug* I dunno, maybe that one went the other way but whatever. The problem for me is that Ziggler has no legit wins. And by legit I mean the ones that are caused by him or his plotting. Like I'm of the opinion that cheating is fine, but interference (from someone that he didn't directly ask to do so) not really, other guy getting dqed/counted out not at all.

Yeah that's probably more what I meant. I should've said "Bellas as a pair" and "Bellas when Twin Magic gets countered." Not sold on Tamina though-- yeah she looks more intimidating lately but if you had Tamina vs Kelly Kelly in a number one contender match I don't feel safe saying Tamina wins.
-- No problem! This is a cute and pop genocide of love!
I definitely feel safe saying Tamina wins that match. And that's nothing against Kelly Kelly in kayfabe, it's just that Tamina's been on a role (by which I mean she has had a lot of matches with Natalya), and I'd totally, kayfabe-wise, expect that to translate into a win against anyone who's not Beth.
Now if K2 got to squash Nattie before their #1 Contender's Match, I'd say it could go either way. But I mean the only thing Kelly has done in the past month was lose to the Bellas in a tag match, and then beat the Bellas in a tag match via interference by the guest announcer. Tamina's really been the only girl to face Natalya lately, so she just kind of stands above the rest by default.

The Rock Austin Taker HBK Jericho Hogan Macho Man Ric Flair Mick Foley Angle.
That is your 10. You have some excellent Wrestlers, some unbelievable talkers, almost everyone is a huge draw, a good line up of Ultra Heels for the Megafaces to contend with There is not a weakness on that lineup. If you want to have a huge freak of nature (like Taker is not enough) sub someone who is not Rock/Austin/HBK out for Andre
Any "build your company around these guys" list that includes Hogan is kind of shaky simply because you know you couldn't actually do much with him because of all the problems he'd cause you behind the scenes.

Mistake you're making - overlooking the fact that we might not want to be saved.

Oh, I thought this was kinda in a vacuum.
NM then. **** HOGAN. Flair could be a problem too, but I trust him more than Hogan. Sub Hogan for Andre.
very late (I wasn't on to browse the topic) but you guys were talking about Ziggler "beating" CM Punk 4 times in 6 weeks and Jericho pinning the Rock and Austin in the same night
(i was looking for heath slater ones but couldnt find any >_>)

The 450, like the ssp, is a very protected move. You don't kick out of it. You're supposed to stop it in the first place, because once it hits, game over.

Yeah because what's the point of even attempting such a high-risk move if people are just gonna kick out of it anyway.
Despite getting stuck with the #1 spot, Miz will make it to the final four of the Rumble. He will be eliminated by his eventual Wrestlemania opponent. It WON'T be Truth.
Oh yeah I said the signup time would be posted here so that APWT regs had a chance at first dibs.
The sign-up topic for Royal Rumble Lottery will be posted at 7:00 PM EST tomorrow night. First 30 are in, any more than that have to hope we get 60 so that we can run 2 games.
The actual lottery will be held on Saturday early evening, giving WWE more time to give us an actual Rumble lineup.

Are they afraid of reminding people The Godfather existed so soon after the reveal of the Funkasaurus?
Speaking of the Funkasaurus, remember how they kept emphasizing the fact that Wade Barrett said Randy Orton would never be the same? I'm thinking he comes back with a new gimmick. Maybe joins the Funkasaurus on a physical rehabilitation trip to Planet Funk and gets infected with the Funk Force, turning him into Randy Funk.

The show opened strong doing a 3.49 first quarter with the set up stuff with C.M. Punk, John Cena and John Laurinaitis. However, Punk & Cena vs. Jack Swagger & Dolph Ziggler lost 528,000 viewers. That's not unusual for the time slot, but you would think with Punk & Cena that people would have stayed past the first quarter. The Chris Jericho Highlight Reel segment lost 287,000 viewers. Kane vs. Zack Ryder which ended with the big sell stretcher job gained 601,000 viewers, which did well for the strongly sold angle. Sheamus vs. Jinder Mahal lost 490,000 viewers. Brodus Clay vs. Heath Slater gained 35,000 viewers. Miz vs. R-Truth lost 19,000 viewers. The tease of Punk vs. Laurinaitis and ending angle gained 761,000 viewers to a 3.54 overrun. That's normal level overrun growth, but better than usual for a segment anchored by Punk.
Zack Ryder. Lose 500,000 viewers one week. Gain 600,000 viewers another.

This is something I was wondering about the other day. Who has had the most gimmicks? It's kinda an open-ended question, I realize, but....Kane? Nash? Foley?

From: Lopen | Posted: 1/25/2012 10:50:16 PM | #296 Why would that segment gain viewers. Ryder's cool. Kane's cool. That segment was ass. Maybe people wanted to "see that Jersey shore guy get beat up"
.. hell the only decent segments (tag match and Miz vs Truth) lost viewers what is wrong with THE WWE UNIVERSE
Considering how the crowd got really into the LET'S GO RYDER chants during the Kane match, and how he also gained viewers vs Jack Swagger last time, I think they really like to see Zack when he is UP AGAINST THE ODDS.
I just laugh when idiots say Cena is a draw. Lost HALF A MILLION viewers after he came out and interrupted Punk.
I don't think for one single year his whole career has he been the most over guy in the company. This from the guy that has now main evented for 7 ungoldy suck years....
