It's kind of a unique situation, so if the WWE saw a chance for an awesome spot they'd probably just go with it. Screw things such as rule consistency

Besides those rumors, there's also a rumor floating around that Savage himself refused to ever be inducted unless it was alongside his dad and brother as The Poffo Family, the same way the Von Erich family got inducted.

So then even in death they're "honoring those wishes" in a sense since they really don't feel like inducting Angelo Poffo and Lanny Poffo into the HoF.

A blanket no, but I would argue a mattress would work, as that is not technically on the floor, where as a blanket, sheet, shirt is just an item on the floor, you are still standing on the floor.

I think it's in large part because the WM27 buyrate was massively up from WM26, in the complete opposite direction of the general buyrate trend, and people are giving Rock credit for that.
