*ME2 spoilers*
I think there's most likely going to be a way to compromise in ME3 but barring that it would make a lot more sense to support the Geth if it got right down to it. They presumably have the bigger numbers and a lot more resources (according to Legion the "evil" Geth are a small splinter group, and there were a LOT of Geth in ME1), plus, they were the ones who were wronged in the first place. Tali would probably hate me, though. Back to Liara, I guess. <_< On the other hand, just considering ME1, it was believed that all of the Geth were rogue AIs trying to destroy the other biological races. Going by that explanation, it's a no-brainer that you should side with the quarians. But that's not exactly the case. -- http://img.imgcake.com/AitchDeeTee/panicdancegifta.gif http://backloggery.com/herodeltiempo/sig.gif ... Copied to Clipboard!

*Mass Effect series SPOILERS*
Actually, already in ME1 you learn the story about how the geth split up from the quarians and that quarians went aggressive against the geth first, upon realising they had "awakened." Of course, in ME1 you fight geth throughout the game, so you'd be naturally more inclined to support the quarians... As someone who romanced Tali (the only halfway decent option so far in the series (Kelly was too much of a side character)), my answer is easily the geth. Because of the aforementioned story, the moral advantage is certainly on their side, and they would be of much bigger use for the future of the universe, anyway (even if we disregarded the reapers altogether). -- If you like Blitzball, try Captain Tsubasa II (in English) for NES! It's not necessarily a "moral" advantage if you believe the geth are just soulless machines, regardless of their sentience. They could be more valuable in the future, but they're also infinitely more dangerous than the quarians as well.

but to answer topic hmm well it kind of depends I would really want to support Quarians (tali ftw) but Geth seem way better to have when fighting the Reapers so yeah (still might pick quarians though cause I have others backing me up as well hopefully) just based on ME1 Quarians because the geth I know about are trying to kill me -- XBL GT: Demon Ninja X2 "There comes a time in every man's or woman's life where they have to make **** up to cover their ass." - Hazama ... From: LeonhartFour | #012 Not to get into a heavier debate, but what exactly distinguishes "sentience" (or perhaps more closely, sapience) from "a soul?" Plus, it's heavily implied that the Geth are still developing their AI. Legion himself shows signs of developing a unique personality among the hivemind (evidenced by that he wears a replica of Shepard's N7 armor despite having no logical reason to do so). -- You have no time to ponder such questions, as Link has just grabbed a Smash Ball. http://backloggery.com/herodeltiempo/sig.gif ... From: HeroDelTiempo17 | #015 Legion touches on this quite a bit in talking with Shepard. He (or maybe I should say "They") recognizes the difference between organics and machines. Not sure about wearing Shepard's armor though. Legion's deliberately vague about why he used it to patch the damage to his "mobile platform." -- "I couldn't stand a day without a past or future. From: LeonhartFour | #016 Well it has been a while since I've played ME2, so I've forgotten a lot of the specifics of the conversations, but I remember the thing with the armor sticking out. To me it seemed like either Legion or the geth hivemind was developing some individuality, and the "vagueness" would be because he/they wasn't/weren't quite sure what was going on. -- http://img.imgcake.com/AitchDeeTee/panicdancegifta.gif http://backloggery.com/herodeltiempo/sig.gif ... Tough choice. I can't really make a decision based solely on Tali, either.
The Quarians did make a huge mistake in attacking the Geth first once they realized they were self aware. Granted, the Quarians then and the Quarians now are probably very different. Eh, I'd probably go with the Geth. They'd got more numbers and they seem like they'd be more useful in the long run. The ideal thing would be to try to broker some kind of truce and put the events of the Morning War to rest. Legion does imply that the Geth wish to make peace and regret killing so many Quarians in the war, even if the Quarians did start it. You just have to get the right Quarians to speak up for peace. -- Gamertag/PSN-Murphiroth ... Copied to Clipboard!

Shepard asks Legion why he has the armor and where he got it. Legion replies that he used it to fix a hole he received from being damaged in battle, and that it belongs to Shepard. When Shepard tries to press him on why he specifically used his own armor to fix the damage, Legion only replies with, "No data available."

The obvious answer is supporting a quarian/geth alliance against the geth heretics. Legion's faction would almost certainly be prepared to coexist and hand Rannoch back to the quarians (the geth don't even live on the surface, they've just cleaned it up and moved to a space station) as long as the quarians are prepared to accept the same terms.
Unless Bioware pull another DA2 and keep yanking that third option away until everything goes to hell. -- "I'm Commander Shepard, and you're standing in the biggest library in Citadel Space. Look me up." ... Copied to Clipboard!
