i did mean propulsion, but her wings would simple not be able to beat hard enough, and on top of that, you have newton's third law....beating your wings WHILE YOU ARE ON THE SCOOTER would make it go forward and back resulting in 0 net movement.

though, mythbusters did test something similar to this and it seems under certain conditions you can blow your own sail, but still...

So...There are a few episodes coming up I have been hearing good and bad things about. I know one such is "Green isn't Your Color" and later on "Party of One" Next episode has dog in the title so I am not very enthused at all...sounds like it will be boring. Let's find out...

Episode 19: Pony Slavery

Boring rarity shop stu....ok, that ended up nice. I think I know where this might be going...shame rarity can't plunder that dragon's nest from many episodes ago (i didn't SEE it take its treasure when it left...but then I guess the treasure is magic. Meghan McCarthy wrote Dragonshy, Call of the Cutie, Green Isn't Your Color, Party of One, Lesson Zero, and Sweet and Elite.

By my count, that's three amazing episodes, two very good episodes, and one decent episode.

Best writer by far.

That is a very good list. None of those I would put in the bottom half of a full ranking, most of them near the top.

I really doubt this next episode could hope to top the last one.

It's generally accepted (and I think it was even Word of God'd at one point) that the episodes aren't necessarily in chronological order. Hence why Fall Weather Friends was after Winter Wrap Up and Green Isn't Your Color is after Suited for Success.

It's just the plot and most of the jokes that were ugghhh

I still maintain the whole "Fluttershy is a tree" conversation to be among the series' best group interactions though.

The tree conversation was alright. A bit forced, though fluttershy saying she wouldn't mind being a tree was lol. One of the very few saving graces the episode had going for it.

I still say the cutie mark destiny system is a bit silly. I mean damn, I wanted to be an astronaut when I was a kid. If a space helmet appeared on my butt I would have been pretty happy until I grew up and discovered the qualifications to be such would be prohibitive to me. Besides, I could very easily have found another passion afterwards and wanted to you know...do something else, forever shamed by a helmet butt.

And now a Fluttershy story...

So....Rainbow Dash is the event that caused everyone to get their cutie marks at the same time. Rainbow Dash caused some disturbance in the Pony Magic Force. I think this might just cause me to make her my number 2 pony.

So yeah, origin story. Shame I was a little spoiled on Twilight Sparkle's, but still awesome now that I have context.



The episode that had to eventually happen, as surely the question of how the cast got their cutie marks was on everypony's mind. I like origin stories and there really wasn't anything that hurt the episode except maybe a song. It felt like it lasted longer than 22 minutes too. Guess that is what happens when you shove six stories into an episode.

9.75/10 Tempted to rate it 10/10 but I think only a half hour of Twilight Sparkle clapping her hooves would earn that >____>
