I reserve the right to skip a track if it would spoil a game I want to play. I am not enforcing a strict licensing rule, but leave out pieces from things like Rock Band and Guitar Hero please. Those technically being video game tracks are just silly for topics like this. 5. Is it a remix, or just how it was put on the OST? Or what, exactly? It's just how it was put on the official OST. The arranger is the same as the original composer. All that's different is the sounds don't sound as obviously semi-choppy-sampled as it would from the system it's on and there's one added section that's not much different from the rest of it I think.

Question for anyone still hanging around the topic: Should I include a number ranking for how much I like each piece out of ten? I don't want to insult anyone by giving their piece a really low number, should I turn out to dislike it, but it could be a fun addition.

I think you're probably going to do that for your own purposes anyway just to get an initial sorting. Maybe just anything you don't like gets a ranking of "below 5" and scale the rest?
Well, I know I'd do it personally, as azuarc said, for initial sorting. Of course, if I'm being totally serious, I'd probably have a fairly-close-to-normal-distribution entirely by accident. Which, would have the side effect of likely having half the songs at 5 or under. I don't even try to do it intentionally, it just seems to happen.
Personally I don't mind either way, but your call.

In a purely random sample, your median should be 5. Considering these are all by suggestion, they are probably slightly above average overall. Your median should be skewed toward 6, but it will still probably be normal. I'm trying to rank the VGMotD songs, which I may abandon before completion, but I'm finding I'm giving out a ton of 5.5s and 6s. Then again, I'm also a softy and wildly inconsistent.

You would think that, but working off a sample size (from a different project of sorts) of 890, my median is a 5.5. However, you have to then factor in that this sample size considers my own submissions. Factor those out, because those are obviously skewed higher, and it's a 5, and closer to the 4.5 side of it.

I'm pretty inconsistent, at least in trying to lock me down on a single rating, even if you use a scale with .5 intervals, which is what I do. I used to be really soft and practically used the four point scale, but not any more. If anything, I'm harsher than normal.
