I find Ngamer looking to have Samus upset this contest amusing considering his hyping of Metroid Prime during the last games contest.

To make it easier; Metroid Prime Vs MGS3, who you got?

MGS3.

Prime's overrated thanks to Brawl/Fallout.

Unless we really believe Prime is greater than or equal to Wind Waker now (and I don't). Prime is barely ahead of MGS3 in the final GOTD stats anyway.

Based on this topic, Whiskey Nick is clearly the biggest "viewer draw" for The Show.

This is probably because for every American viewer, Whiskey Nick can draw 1.10 Canadian viewers.

Well let's see. MGS3 managed only 57% on Paper Mario; Prime hung 62% on PM in that four way. Might have been getting hurt by Last Place Factor there, so could be closer, but...

Give me Prime in a Day Match or 24 hour match, though MGS could take it in a night match.

As fun as it is to theorize against game matches, I'm not sure it really holds much weight in this contest.

I seriously considered going with Samus, simply because she's a powerhouse in the CB contests. But I'm running with the theory that rivalries will make a huge difference in this contest, so I'm banking on the Boss Duo to get a major powerup, while Ridley holds Samus' head underwater and drowns her.

Of course, I also have Ryu/Ken to the semifinals, so feel free to take my opinion with a grain of salt.

Or, you know, LFF.

Because it's pretty clear that Paper Mario was stronger 1-on-1 than it showed in 4-ways. Prime, too.

I'll probably try to get to Phoenix/Gordon without banking, and then put my 21000 in the bank. The next match is Alucard/Shepard which is also debatable, and Chell/Ness, Pac/Crash and Siegfried/Ramza are all really soon after, so that's too many risky matches for me to be confident in.

Also, I'd say don't bank anything less than a 10-match streak.

Alucard/Shepard is the match right after Phoenix/Gordon, so if you bank on Phoenix/Gordon, there isn't any point to banking on Alucard/Shepard. And Chell/GlaDOS comes after Alucard/Shepard, so there isn't a point to banking on Chell/GlaDOS unless of course you banked on Tidus/Jecht and got Phoenix/Gordon correct.

I don't think Alucard/Shepard is debatable at all. Alucard is an established contest veteran that we know is already a solid midcarder in his own right. Dracula should definitely be stronger than Saren and the rivalry factor definitely isn't helping out Shepard/Saren at all. And ME2 is almost 2 years old, with the PS3 version being out for over 9 months now, so ME2 has probably died down quite a bit.

Now consider that Samus is almost as strong as Mario and while Ridley may not be Bowser, he's no That Alien Guy From Super Mario Land either.

You're going off of the BOP, right? Because I'm pretty sure I submitted my bracket to BOP, and I have neither Red/Blue nor Ryu/Ken winning that match. You mentioned the people who had BJ/Adolf in the Dante/Vergil vs. Sora/Riku match, so why didn't you mention that Fox/Wolf are also getting support for East Division Champion?
