Before the month-long hiatus that preceded the flash that will hit tomorrow (which rumors hint at being ten minutes long, or even longer), Homestuck used to have a general discussion topic. Unfortunately, the hiatus took it, and since then several other, less permanent topics have filled the gap. No more. With Homestuck returning to its usual update schedule, so will Board 8's series of hub topics return too! Without further ado:
Our Heroes:

Jade Harley, Pesterchum nickname gardenGnostic. A cheerful, optimistic gal with strange hunches and insights, as well as a narcolepsy problem.

Not even worth speculating about 'cause it could mean so many different things. We do know Gamzee is the one who spawned the chucklevoodoos that resulted in Cal (and thus Doc Scratch) and the harlequins (and thus Jack's rise to power), which might qualify him for that. Really, don't even worry about it, it's a red herring due to being so obvious that it can be interpreted as meaning whatever.

He still has to be alive to watch the critical moment, though. Unless that's his corpse or severed head observing it, which I guess is also a possibility.
And regarding the Karkat pesterlog, he could have just betrayed Gamzee's trust in some other way unbefitting of a moirail or something. Troll romance sure is weird.
well moirails are a little different than just "best friends"
like, you also have to a counterbalance to your partner's personality, and you're in many ways a life mate with an even deeper relationship in a few respects than a more romantically inclined one
so saying that gamzee "was" his best friend could just be representative of the shift in their relationship from friends to moirails

so i have truly begin my reread now. only a month later than i should have. oh wells. homestuck isn't going anywhere.
just through the first act and...the ending was a bit more underwhelming than i remember (and when a meteor slamming into a house is underwhelming, you know **** is good). future events coloring past ones most likely. so yeah...while certainly ripe with general tomfoolery and shenanigans, there are still some pretty nice moments in the act, mostly towards the end. dave's commentary on meteor size and rose's wrecking of the house.
prediction: a perfectly generic object will be the thing to beat jack

How was that death heroic? Doesn't seem like it should stick.
You do remember there were two ways to die, right? Heroic and Just? It was most definitely what she deserved after all she did.
That said I sincerely doubt she's out of the story entirely. She'll either come back as a ghost like Aradia did as a sort of karma thing, or be one of the main links to everyone in the dream bubble stuff.
There's really no reason for the John/Vriska development in the dream bubble otherwise.
Vriska's one of my favorite characters, but it's pretty obvious to me she had a just death, if only because that seems pretty in-line with the sort of stuff Skaia's will has done before.

What if everyone breaks out of the Dream Bubbles and comes back as God Tier or something crazy?
I mean, it probably won't be anything that ridiculous (........maybe), but I have a very hard time believing that the only purpose the deadselves in the dream bubbles will serve is to relive old memories with cameos from dead guys.

Well it was hinted that there's more than one way to become God Tier... And Aradia came back to life as one.
It's actually pretty possible, honestly. If Rose actually ends up dying completely, I think it would be a pretty good bet. Not certain, of course, but then what is?
Looks like Andrew disabled his Formspring for some reason. Maybe it's to ward off the **** load of dumb questions that pop up immediately after the EoA, and then he'll activate it again after things have calmed down a bit?

I don't think Rose or Dave will die. There's been pretty strong hints that Davesprite will be the one to actually deliver the bomb. I suppose DD might off one though.
I'm more worried about someone getting caught in the Scratch and being erased entirely. That'd be even worse than death! And it would probably be John, too.
